Military leaders have submitted a proposal to the White House that would keep 10,000 troops in Afghanistan after the U.S. combat mission ends in 2014, a senior U.S. official confirms to Fox News.

The 10,000-troop plan or any other troop proposal could still be rejected by Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who has not yet signed a security agreement that would allow American soldiers to remain in the country.

Lunacy! Karzai is the most corrupt President on the planet and not worth a single American life to keep him propped up and living in luxury. He hates Americans and there is not a single good reason for another American to die in that forsaken crap hole of a county.

10,000 is just enough to provide nice juicy targets for the Taliban, not nearly enough to go and kill them.

The ideal Bush/Obama co-in strategy.

I have a son who is an Army Special Forces Major. He has already had one tour in the Helmand River Valley and that’s enough. We have sacrificed enough of our blood and treasure for this ungrateful 3d Century country. It is time to bring everybody home and if Al Qaeda resurfaces, take them out with Air power.

“Karzai is the most corrupt President on the planet “

You may want to rethink that statement!

Civilian control please. End mission creep. Bring them home. No more world policeman spending blood and treasure. We have our own problems.

Will they be allowed to keep their weapons?

We will “pay” for it by cutting these same soldiers pensions, pay, and health care. Really.
