Every time events fail to confirm the predictions of the global waming models, we see putative scientists thinking up excuses, like a "pause" that just interrupts the inevitable, absolutely beyond dispute, no discussion allowed predictions that...uhh...are just around the corner. While amusing it is also pathetic. And even worse are the journalists and non-specialist scientists who accept rationalization in place of rigor.

I’ve yet to receive a reply from any climate activist as to why the earth isn’t allowed to warm... After all it’s been much warmer in the past, and cooler.
Currently they no longer grow wine grapes near Hadrians wall, nor is the Thames river frozen.
Yup. It’s all weird. My grandad and dad used to cut ice out of the Hudson River up near Athens NY in the 1920’s for an ice house they ran. Don’t know if that’s even possible now. Stupid algore and his causing all the liquid ice and making frozen water unavailable.
While we’re supposed to be in the peak of an 11 year warming cycle (Solar Maximum) some scientists are puzzled by the Sun’s LACK OF SOLAR ACTIVITY which would otherwise be warming the planet right now.
I mean, what would have happened politically regarding the AGW claims if the sun had simply done its part? :-D
>While amusing it is also pathetic.<
.
And let’s not forget, economically destructive for the West.
Isn’t that the guiding principle?
That Solar Maximum period "expired" in 1999-2000 at which point we entered a period of Solar Minimum. During the last Solar Minimum, the average daily temperature of the planet DROPPED as it should've and history of tracking the Solar Cycles has shown.
We entered a new Solar Maximum cycle in 2010-2011 which was supposed to start peaking in late 2012 through 2013 and last for 3-5 years before the Solar Maximum would start winding down in its final 3 years or so.
Guess what? This Solar Maximum period has been for the most part a complete BUST. The Sun remains "quiet" (with occasional CME's, X-Class solar flares and brief periods of activity that provide some warming.)
The fact that the Sun isn't active anywhere near the degree that Solar Maximum's have been in the past is actually evidence against Global Warming and proves that the Sun's activity has a direct impact on the temperature of the planet.
Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but your post made me think: So, based on what we already know about the Solar Maximum, scientists KNEW that we would heat up because of the sun, came up with these great global warming predictions all based on evil human activity, fully expecting the Solar Maximum to do its work, but then this danged low sunspot activity messed up all their plans.
Global Warming Theories are designed to obtain continued funding year over year. Every "conclusion" is designed to require more research to "prove." In short, those who claim Global Warming as "science" are really no better than those scientists who claim that studying the sex life of a gnat is somehow relevant to the environment overall. Junk Science is Junk Science.
BTW: Those of us who are into Amateur Radio follow the solar cycles closely. Solar Maximum's are great for enabling long distance communications with very little power. By all standards in the Amateur Radio community - this Solar Maximum is a complete BUST. We're supposed to be at the height of a Solar Maximum right now based on historical trends. We're not -- and that's directly attributable to lack of Solar Activity. Yet MORE proof of the Solar Cycle and the Sun's impact on the planet!
This just in: AlGore called, he wants his Global Warming back! ROFL!!!
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
Answer: Pass a law!!
Not to mention creeping crud and fallen arches.
