Eric Bolling of The Five said the other day that we should go on and support Olympians by buying clothing. I was curious what they had as offerings, and stopped by and was almost knocked over at the prices. $55 for a t-shirt????? How can they justify this? I am sure not too many people will be buying them at that price. Would love to see what their sales numbers are with prices that ludicrous.

Maybe you’re right. I won’t be buying any $55 t-shirts. I won’t even be buying any $34-$40 t-shirts, for that matter. Whether they would sell more at the lower price and thus make more money overall is a matter for them. It’s their business.

And for what it’s worth, the original price is in Russian rubles. The American dollar doesn’t have the buying power it once had, and Russia isn’t the economic basket-case it was in the decade after the fall of the Soviet Union. I’m sure this would seem over-priced even to many Russians, but I expect it’s the poor exchange rate that makes it seem even more so to us Americans.

What conservatives are you meaning are ‘falling for this’? We have say, or are supposed to, about what taxes are set by the governments we have. This is a business, and a foreign one. How much money they make is up to them, as is their success or failure.

I’m sure they did their supply-demand value based analysis, over the cubic root of the gross margin, minus something over the other, and $56 is what they got. Supposed to be one of the most expensive Olympics ever, gotta do something

It is their merchandise. They can ask anything they want. And you can refuse to pay it. All good.

I think my shirt from Atlanta was $30 almost 20 years ago.

It’s a memento

I am convinced that our only hope is our Military.

Either that, or We The People need to make a 19 April, 1775 statement that will be heard around the world.

They justify it because it only happens every couple of years and one is unique. Concert Ts generally run a minimum of $30 and they’re available for a whole tour.

This is off topic, but while I was helping out at a Christian thrift shop last week, a lady was going through the clothing for anything that was Abercrombie & Fitch.

Her mission is putting as much Abercrombie & Fitch on the homeless as she can, to annoy the company.

I got a kick out of that.

Sorry that it caught you off guard.

I saw this shit coming down the pike for quite some time. Ever since Lindsey Graham and Phil Graham threw a wrench into the Bill Clinton Impeachment works, to be quite honest.

I had a 1984 Olympic shirt. It was a car rag within 3-4 years.

I couldn’t care less about the olympics and I certainly couldn’t care less about a so called collector’s item from it.
