It's over: Jeb Bush will be the GOP nominee in 2016
The Week ^ | February 5 2014 | Damon Linker

And why is that? Because it's beginning to dawn on me that Jeb Bush is probably going to be the Republican Party's nominee for president in 2016.

Consider: With the ongoing implosion of Chris Christie's political career, the GOP establishment has lost its best hope for a candidate who could stop a libertarian-populist insurgency during the primaries. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Scott Walker — the list of viable fire-breathers is longer (and less dominated by incompetents, crazies, and one-note sideshow acts) than establishment types would like.

Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep...

West said he’s going to run in 2016...although he didn’t say for what.

Like we did with his brother?

LOL

No Thanks.

I’ll settle for majorities in both houses and a purge of some rat bass turds already there.

“It’s over: Jeb Bush will be the GOP nominee in 2016”

SAYS WHO?!? The Week???

The Week started out as a pretty good mag.

It sunk so low, I actually wrote to them asking them to stop delivery—(it had been a gift subscription from my father.)

Look closely at their “sources” of info for their articles; SALON, USA Today, Slate-—too left-wing for me.

STOP the liberals from “choosing” our nominees!!!!

I'm to the point where I could care less anymore if Palin runs. The waiting is always for nothing. She's not going to run.

Quite frankly, I'm just a bit tired of her feeling the need to come out and support McCain. Kind of makes her look like a chump. As I've said, if she still feels some devotion to this POS, then she should refrain from criticizing him...not praising the guy!

It is utter folly waiting for Palin to run. She won't..

If that’s the case, start preparing for President Hillary Clinton.

The republican version of Walter Mondale? If that’s what the GOPe want, that’s what they will get and the country will be destroyed because there will be a democrat landslide with the lowest turnout of republicans in the history of the country.

No thank you. I look forward to saying “good-bye” with the hopes of getting American-loving common sense replacements in the WH.

If, and it’s a huge if, Jeb were to secure the GOP nomination, the mass exodus to a third party would likely doom the Republican party. Depending what you’re rooting for long term, that could be a good thing.

“Delusional. Another Bush? That will fly like a lead balloon.”

All they have to do is say ‘Bush’ and gravity is born.

So we are not voting for another Bush or any other poser. So we need to start thinking about a protest vote.

We need to send a message to the GOPe if you want power, this is the product we demand.

I don’t know who this person is but we have a couple of years to find him or her.

I’m not judging him. I’m just saying the base will not vote for him. I won’t.

I won't vote for him either; but my main point was that the Republican Party's doing such a lousy job "keeping the president in line" even when it's the opposition's guy that assuming that they would do it to "their guy" seems really… stupid.

Even if that’s true, which I contest, how are you going to GET 55 R’s in the Senate when you nominate King RINO and everyone stays home on election night?

IMO The Bush name is poison it has been so maligned by Democrats.

To be fair, the Bush name has been maligned by people named Bush.
