Wife, age 60 and involuntarily unemployed, had her Florida Blue plan cancelled. To get a new complying plan, she now pays more than twice as much and the deductible has risen by a factor of 5. Of course she’s now covered for birth control and maternity, so I guess we should be glad. This is the reverse case you don’t see reported, of the elderly subsidizing the young. Thank God she has excellent health!

Research? Why would MSM do research! You make it sound like they searching for the facts. That is so yesterday, comrade. Today, MSM primary purpose is to provide propaganda for Regime; real, not real, is not a factor.

There are clear Obamacare “winners,” predominantly the age 55-65 “old,” the sick (with pre-existing conditions) and the single near-poor without dependents (who will get Medicaid).

I am sympathetic the plight of those who cannot afford medical care. But it is the dishonest and fiscally unsustainable funding of the wealth transfer that funds these new benefits that is the problem (new and hidden taxes as well as overcharging the young and healthy for their “insurance”) and the job-killing economic disincentives to employers to hire and provide health plans and disincentives to young men to buy plans.

The Obamacare Titanic is already sliding beneath the waves, IMO! Whether the new “winners” vote for the Dems or not, it is doomed. (Say that as a retired CPA financial analyst and CFE fraud examiner)

I don't disagree.

The point I'm making is that the winners under Obamacare will vote for politicians who will keep it or politicians who want to replace it with something “better”.

The idiots in Washington count votes not the dollars the Treasury spends..

Wonder what the other side of the story is?

Well these folks are only 6 weeks into their "romance" with Obamacare. I love to see their view a year from now, especially if they have some health issues during that time.

“I’m from the government and I’m here to help” and “I’m a Republican but...” are two intros that make me want to laugh right in the speaker’s face.....

The 2 FL “republicans” that love Obamacare: One a registered democrat, the other a Jeb Bush hating environut. Great vetting job Daily Kos/MSM.

The one is linked above as a registered Dem. The ohas web comments all over the net including this gem:

“”We are commenting on the comments from the Republican party spokeswoman about the Republican party morality..
Right?
...
So, we are singing love peace and moral harmony in Florida all of the sudden, because if the media ever gets brave enough to see Jeb Bush is using his department head picks to help him grow his own Enron power company , and advocate for big business at the expense of the people, there is no Republican party of Florida.”

The former Soviets, Kim Jong regime, and the Chi-coms would be proud of this kind of propaganda.

Ever notice how all their examples are by one or two “avid supporters” and never based on a sampling???

This may be true due to the fact that no one really knows what it is unless you are paying attention. If you are paying attention, this is one of the most deadly assaults on our country we have ever had throughout our history. To the uninformed it is near Utopia, almost magical in its greatness. Just because you are a registered republican it doesn’t also mean you are informed. Here on FR, we are very informed. I can’t say that for the rest of the nation.

I would not go so far as to say that a couple of items in my individual favor cause me to love the entire ACA system or the prez. I now have major medical coverage again after many years of being excluded from same by my well managed pre-existing conditions. I was always a proponent of state based reform and here in Florida we have competitive bidding among medicaid HMO providers the simplest thing for the state to have done is open up paid enrollment in the medicaid HMO’s at the state negotiated per person capitation rate. That would have let us pre-existing red-line people acquire the same coverage as the indigent get.

Okay. Some Catholics “love” abortion and gay marriage. Some Israelis “love” Hamas. Some millennials “love” bathing and deodorant. Doesn’t make them a representative sample, much less a significant number or a majority.
