In a sense I think a lot of this can be blamed on the media who set out to embarrass Putin for not caving in to the gay agenda and now he’s going to show some strength.

The Ukrainian mess just provides Putin the opportunity.

Sorry, it’s not a “Treaty” unless it was ratified by 67 Senators. A “Memorandum” doesn’t mean diddly squat. Besides, even if it were ratified, Obastard would just abrogate it anyway because it involves a bunch of white folk.

‘Moron’?? That’s what we have in the WH.
So what do you think the anti-war protesters are going to do about it?

Getting reparations for his homies before he leaves office, that’s what has priority right now.

The honest thing for us to do in this situation is to not make promises we do not intend to keep. IE, write checks with our mouth that our ass can’t cash. By giving the Ukrainians false hopes can only lead to their slaughter. Let them know we intend to do nothing besides bloviate. That way they can make decisions based on reality instead of fantasy.

The U.S. can not do anything militarily. We are fully committed to the Asia pivot, not too mention Afghanistan. China is waiting for a mere blink.

I’m harsh, “ let them kill each other”. Please explain to me where a people trying to rid itself of a corrupt ruler and an oppressive neighbor deserve to die?

Not going to happen. Easy get-out because they overthrew the government, which can effectively nullify a treaty. Just like the Syria debacle, this will be another humiliation caused by Ketchup-head and Barry.

“Obama would ignore this treaty.... “

Not sure I would want one of my kids dying for this situation.

No, please, keep Archduke Francis Ferdinand away.

When I saw the pResident on TV, I said, “What are you going to do, Barry? Hit him with your purse?”

I guess he is hoping to send a stripped down, girlied up, homoed out military up against Russia so that he can let the world see his ultimate dream, the USA losing a war.

I, uh, really don’t think we need to worry about Obama obeying any stupid old treaty.

For sure.

If Obama can easily ignore the US Constitution, another "piece of paper", what does it matter to him to ignore another?

Sorry, Ukrainians, you bet on the wrong horse....

George Washington’s advice regarding foreign treaties in his 1796 “Farewell Address” is as relevant today as when he penned the words. It is unfortunate our leaders since WWII have not headed it:

“Europe has a set of primary interests, which to us have none, or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves, by artificial ties, in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities. . . Why forego the advantages of so peculiar a situation? Why quit our own to stand upon foreign ground? Why, by interweaving our destiny with that of any part of Europe, entangle our peace and prosperity in the toils of European ambition, rivalship, interest, humor, or caprice?
It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world; so far, I mean, as we are now at liberty to do it; for let me not be understood as capable of patronizing infidelity to existing engagements. I hold the maxim no less applicable to public than to private affairs, that honesty is always the best policy. I repeat it, therefore, let those engagements be observed in their genuine sense. But, in my opinion, it is unnecessary and would be unwise to extend them.”
