I can get lost in the nursery when they get in a new shipment of plants. We are also looking for two new cherry trees. It looks like we lost the two we had. Last weekend we bought a raspberry and a boysenberry.
I may have to come out of retirement if I keep returning. I can’t resist all of the beauty. LOL

I hear you. I have three new rosebushes on order, as well as two or three bushes that I’ve never yet tried to grow. The snow is too deep still to see if a small bush we planted last fall survived. It’s so much fun to try new plants.

This is what the voodoo rose looks like:
I had five of them at our old house. They were six feet tall.

AMEN, Geo!
My heart breaks with the destruction of our great nation. Remember my days in school when we stood and quoted our Pledge of Allegiance

That is beautiful!!
I have some roses in my shopping cart at Jackson Perkins. I haven't decided yet which to delete. :)
Here is one ..
I also have 2 thornless climbers and a couple of tea roses.
Should I just bite the bullet and order them? :)
I need to check on the voodoo before I finalize my order.

The Golden Rule
March 12, 2014
Read: Matthew 7:7-12
The concept of The Golden Ruletreat others as you would like to be treatedappears in many religions. So what makes Jesus version of the saying so exceptional?
Its uniqueness lies in a single word, therefore, that signals the generosity of our heavenly Father. Here is what Jesus said: If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them (Matt. 7:11-12 italics added).
All of us fall short of what we know to be true: We do not love others the way God loves us. Jesus lived out that admirable ethic with perfect love by living and dying for all our sins.
We have a loving, giving Father who set aside His own self-interest to reveal the full measure of His love through His Son Jesus. Gods generosity is the dynamic by which we treat others as we would like to be treated. We love and give to others because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).
Our heavenly Father asks us to live up to His commands, but He also gives us His power and love to carry it out. We need only to ask Him for it.
Heavenly Father, I know that I lack Your
patience and mercy and love. Please show
Your perfect love through me in some small
way today. In Your Son Jesus name I pray.
We have committed The Golden Rule to memory; now let us commit it to life. E. Markham

When in school for the first grade, in Oklahoma, we said the “Pledge of Allegiance and the Lord’s prayer”. In the second grade we had moved to Texas, which also did the same thing as Oklahoma did, plus we sang “The Eyes of Texas are upon you ...”. Pretty smart really. There was and is a reason for doing these things with young children, (and all ages really). We are losing or have lost so many wise teachings in schools ... and Christian Churches as well, now that I think about it.
For the loss, not the betterment of the people and the nation.
LORD help us to see the error of our ways and return to Thee and Thy Wisdom, in Jesus name amen.
