“I didn’t realize how much Lizzie was out to lunch. Rationality wasn’t her strong suit. I was wondering if and how the girls were going to be written out. Never expected that scenario.”

I think Lizzie would have been more likely to feed herself to the Z’s or kill herself to make her point rather than kill her sister. But crazy is by definition unpredictable. It was pretty shocking, like the Red wedding on Game of Thrones.

Although not a TV Show, I recall Bruce Willis character in the movie
“Looper” killing a child thinking that child was the “rainmaker”.

On second thought, maybe Lizzie isn’t the best sitter for Judith.

LOL...best laugh of the day, post of the night!

"I think in real life, separate from TWD, that episode had to have an impact on Tyreese and Carol........The only thing I can think of that came close to what was done was when Ol' Yeller had to be killed...."

I agree. I think Melissa McBride even said something to that effect on Talking Dead last night. "Hard" is a word that doesn't even begin to describe it.

You know, upthread I said Carol was tough, but she isn't a robot. She does what she believes has to be done, but look at what she's been through. She not only lost her own daughter, she saw one of her "adopted" daughters murdered in cold blood, and shot the other one in the head. I wonder if she can bear all of this without crumbling.

I'm still marveling at the brilliance of last night's episode and the range of emotions it put its characters and the rest of us thru.

The night before, when we saw them gathered safe in the farmhouse, a kerosene lamp on the table, Tyreese asleep in the chair, Mika playing with her new doll on the floor, talk about maybe staying there for the duration (even tho we know that wouldn't happen) that was the closest they had come to safety and normalcy since the apocalypse.

Then the final scene when Carol and Tyreese were walking away was absolutely heart wrenching........

And towards the beginning of the episode when they said they could live there. Towards the end of the episode they said they couldn’t live there after what had happened.

:(

And as a side note, this is likely the only event that could have elicited Tyreese's forgiveness of Carol for having killed Karen and David..........Carol is carrying a horrendous burden now and Tyreese knows it.

Just Wow.........

My take of the scene were she pushes the pistol across the table ,she didn't want to shoot herself.

One of the most poignant scenes was when Tyreese looked around and said in a marveling tone, “I’m in a living room.”

I need to call my sister-in-law and find out if she and her husband ever got caught up to this season. They thought TWD was some silly horror show, but they happened to see an episode, got hooked, and went on a binge of watching seasons 1-3. They say it’s the best show they’ve ever watched....when they see last night’s ep, they’ll appreciate it.

Yeah, it's like they said on Talking Dead, if Carol had confessed to Tyreese when they were out walking, as she ALMOST did, he would have reacted differently. Yvette Nicole Brown said she was yelling, "Don't do it, girl! Don't do it!" LOL

Do you think she was resigned to it either way? I got the impression she wouldn't have protested if Tyreese decided to kill her.

I think she gave up all hope of her humanity and put her life on the table by enabling Tyreese to be her judge, jury and executioner.........

Okay. I’m FINALLY getting around to watching this one. I’ll comment as I watch:

Excellent opening. Is Beth playing tag with a walker?!?!
Oh, good LORD! Lizzy’s calling Carol, “Ma’am?!”
Carol: “She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.” ——UH-OH!!
Holy CRAP! The look that Mica got from Lizzie when Mica said, “You’re not even grossed out by Dead Rabbits!”
(I guess we now know who was dissecting the vermin at the prison)
Lizzie: “Sometimes we HAVE to kill them. I know that. But, sometimes we don’t.” Straight from Hershell’s lips when he and Carl were out looking for plants at the prison.
(And, I’m looking at Mica’s handgun, trying to guess what kind it is. I am SUCH a gun nut!!)
Come ON, MICA!! SHOOT it in the HEAD!!
O-o-o-okay? “Look at the flowers, Lizzie?! Yup. She’s going into Crazytown...
“Priselda Gunderson??” Are you nuts, Mica? Name that doll something a bit more casual. Like, say, “Adreanna Botswannah Hugginsworth?”
Holy CRAP!! That was LIZZIE playing tag with that walker?!
(And, at 17:09 in this episode, the look on Carol’s face says, “I have created a MONSTER!”
AWWWWWW! Mica looks so CUTE leveling that rifle on their dinner!
“We can stay. We can live here.” Yeah..
“Coach says this now, but when he finds out that Carol exterminated his love interest...
(I call him, “Coach,” because he played the character of, “Coach,” in the Left 4 Dead 2 videogame)
Holy CARP! It’s LIZZIE feeding the walkers! I’ll bet she votes for Obummer, too!
Oh, come ON, LIZZIE!! Throw yourself on those smoldering walkers coming after you!
Nice Walker Extermination scene there!
Carol: “Ya know? We have A LOT of pecans here.” Yeah! Because Mica didn’t shoot that FREAKIN’ DEER!!
DAMN! Lizzie draws faster on Carol and Tyreese that I could have!
(Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but is Lizzie holding Carol and Tyreese with a Beretta PX4 Storm?)
Carol? You have created a monster...
NO!! MICA!!! I’m going to miss her!
Yup! Lizzie was feeding the walkers at the prison fence. I KNEW it!!
Carol: “Just look at the flowers, Lizzie......BANG!”
WOW!!
Carol created that monster. Carol had to destroy it.
again....HOLY CARP!! Carol fessed up about Karen and David!!
Tyreese is a bigger man. He is AWESOME!
Carol is forgiven.

Pretty good episode, but they need to ramp it up a bit more.

I have a lot of R-S-P-E-C-T for Rick sending Carol away. I think he killed 2 stones with one bird. On the surface it was as he said, he didn't want her around after what she did, but I think he also saved her life and her reputation. Tyreese would have killed her in a rage.

So I just watched the last 2 episodes back to back.

Tyreese was able to forgive her after seeing her strength of character, conviction and sense of justice.

I have loads of respect for Tyreese!

Also..UGH! Horrible series of events.

Back to Daryl. He proved himself a badass and was allowed to join the sociopath group. I believe he will do some horrible things but will eventually come back from the abyss. He saw in Beth that there are genuinely good people in the world and he wants to be one despite his poor upbringing.

Look forward to the last 2 episodes and dread the inevitable cliff hanger and long interval with no show.

At least I can watch Falling Skies soon.
