I can change a tire but just about every time I’ve needed to, a man has stopped to help. Which means he takes over, and I offer him some baby wipes when he’s done.

knowing who to stop and change a tire for and who not to. some good samaritans were robbed/murdered doing this.

Once, after having left Beatty NV on US 95 with a colleague, we came on a middle aged lady and her wheelchair bound mother with a flat tire. US 95 is pretty sparse in the way of people/places/buildings there.

Spent about a half hour getting her tire changed and drove off (my colleague supervised me the whole time). Trunk was completely filled with stuff.

Later, after stopping down the road in Indian Springs to get something to drink, the lady pulled up and then tried to give me some money. I told her to just pass it on when the need came up.
