I respect an agnostic more than an atheist.
An atheist has ceased investigating and closed his mind.

I would say an objective morality is one that considers the well-being of humanity its highest priority. Before you point to Marxism as an example, I’ll point out that their naïve belief in forcing financial equality is NOT in the best interest of humanity, and that believing in God wasn’t enough to invest the Muslim world with a morality we can really rejoice in.

The Muslim god is not our God.

You can have subjective morality, but it doesn’t have the same meaning as objective morality. And it’s not really a valid system of morality.

I don’t see how “the well-being of humanity” is subjective. But a larger point is the implications of what you are saying: that one should believe in God not because it’s true, but because it provides a fixed point for you to base a morality on. As I said, it provided one for the Islamic world too, and they got their idea of God from the Abrahamic tradition, so yes, it’s the same God. You could argue that Mohammed lied about God talking to him and therefore everything they believe about God is wrong, but it is still the same God (who apparently has said nothing to them to correct their mistake. Oddly.)

Island Abraham is not the Bibles Abraham. Only a fool would buy a load of poop like that. Islam is not a religion

It’s NOT the same God by any stretch of the imagination

IMO George is stretching mightily these days to say something - anything - that will get him some attention and respect - his attempts to look erudite and profound come off as weak and trite in comparison to what Krauthammer has to offer every time they appear on the Fox panel in the same sitting - he’s no longer the reigning conservative and it’s showing......

I thought a lot of atheists prided themselves on familiarity with holy books?

Anyone who has read the Bible and the Koran would be able to tell that when the god written of therein speaks, it is not the same entity whatsoever and it is merely “Muhammad” that claims it is.

I remember Mark Levin recently talking about Will trashing Reagan back in the late 70s when he tried to run against Gerald Ford. It’s taking a long time for Will to shed his transparent mask, and he still doesn’t seem to realize that it is transparent.

Actually I’ve always said both. God exists ontologically and God is the only source of objective morality.

The god of Islam says it’s morally necessary to lie. The Christian God forbids lying. Therefore they cannot be the same. There are other examples of mutual exclusivity between them.

Your definition of the well being of humanity is different from anyone else’s definition. So it’s necessarily subjective. Your opinion against theirs.

Krauthammer is very much a cultural and identity Jew who can’t identify God but fears him

Hardly an atheist....he’s also a former New Republic writer.....Democrat and Mondale campaign bigwig

All three worse than being an atheist

My issue with atheists is they reject culture war....in other words....they don’t stand for much beyond small govt

Do you think DNA wrote itself? It is a computer program after all; ask computer programmers.

An example that proves the opposite case! Way too many bugs in that DNA app!

The “pro-choice” crowd always says “Abort, retry, fail”, with emphasis on the “abort”.

You focus on the boot phase.

But the fact remains, the app always crashes eventually!

And then we are left with vapor-ware promises from its priests product managers.

So theism helps you understand quantum mechanics? Do tell.

Also, what blanks do I need to fill in? If you have evidence for a theistic creator, then by all means, share.

Not true. It's actually the agnostic who has done that. An agnostic says that questions about God unanswerable and unknowable, so has stopped looking.

It's a common misconception that agnostic merely means "I don't know."

Where do you access the tenets of objective morality? Where is it written down?
