Must’ve been a big chihuahua (from the pug) to make a meal.

In Alaska, a large calibre rifle is always a good thing to have handy. Bears do tend to show up unexpectedly and when they do bad things can happen to the unprepared.
Paco's family should consider themselves lucky that only Paco was on the menu and that he was not just the appetizer for two legged banquet

I watched an eagle snatch a chihuahua up in Ketchican. You shouldn't allow small pets to run free where the wild is so close. ;)

Where is PETA on this? Or do they play favorites?
Are they just stupid or what? Why am I asking questions about PETA?

Paco's pic at link They really should have chosen another pic. Kind of creates sympathy for the bear.
Must have been a dyslexic bear, thought it was "Taco".

Hmmm Dog, food. Around here it’s the owls
that eat those little dogs. Owners fault.

Then she didn’t do her research. I was offered and almost accepted a job in Juneau. I researched the hell out of everything I could find. In that research was a weekly LEO bear report. Sightings, trash, etc.. Also, they had rules on trash cans for the area to help prevent attracting bears.
