Generally, when sending a job to a printer, you are responsible for all content, the printer is responsible for a good print job.

In my experience you can buy editing, and for such an important book in the lives of any graduating classes... I would think it proper to pay for it. Usually an English teacher is on the committee and proofreads the book for the initial approvals....it appears no proofreading happened.
