I remember the day we all invaded the polls to vote for Reagan. Excitement - it was positively palpable- in the air, T shirts emblazoned, hope (real hope wholly unlike Obama’s lies) in the wind. We marched to the polls and we renounced Jimmy with a resounding “Hell NO!”
It has never been like that for me since then. The best that I can hope for is a third Bush who will equivocate, dissemble and mealy-mouth about somehow illegals are good for us, or we get a Christie yankee erstwhile Democrat, or a retread GOPe appeaser like McCain or Romney.
We’ve had hope since then, only lesser - with the likes of Rubio who gave it up for illegals, etc. So far, Cruz is standing tall, and I hope he runs - I’ll vote for him.
I just hope God still listens to us.
I was a young naive 18 year old, and voted for Carter, in ‘76. Corrected it with a vengeance, four years later, when I voted for Reagan. We should be so lucky, as to see a Leader, like him, again, in our lifetime. Agree about Cruz, I could vote for him.
