When a man went to the side of his boat to empty a bucket at Australia's Kakadu National Park on Saturday, he was attacked by what police say was a 15.5-foot-long crocodile and vanished, his wife, son, and daughter-in-law unable to save him. Now, the 62-year-old's remains may have been found inside a crocodile. Two of the reptiles were shot yesterday about a mile from the site of the encounter, the AAP reports via the Sydney Morning Herald. "A quantity of human remains was recovered" from one, say police. They have yet to be IDed.

Salty crocs are probably the most nasty reptiles that walk the earth today.

The grow bigger than gators too.

Man, oh man, what a way to go. Just two years younger than me. Way too young to have it all end in the mouth of a croc.

I think crocodiles are more vicious than alligators and gators are bad enough.

I remember several years ago reading about the Japanese army crossing through a swamp in WWII and the crocs ate hundreds of them.

The lesson is that practically everything in Australia can kill you and may even eat you.

Not likely, unless I go there.

My ancestors in the Florida Panhandle did everything in their power to eliminate gators, rattlers, coral snakes etc.

They did a pretty good job on the gators but now they are really making a comeback.

If they ever discover a species of carnivorous kangaroos or flesh eating koalas I think I’ll reconsider visiting the land down under.

By recent count, we’ve got OVER 3,000 ‘gators in the lake behind our Florida house. Jeez, how many is too many? Isn’t that enough for the bunny huggers?

I thought the sharks generally kept the Croc population in control.

Dude, I would forget rowing a boat in there or even getting close to the lake’s edge. 3,000 gators. Bet the folks in your area keep their pets inside.

The sharks have not been as effective alligator control since they are no longer equipped with “laser” beams.

As long as they stay where they are, in extreme South Florida, I won’t worry about them.
