I know that this topic is very controversial. Conservatives have always complained about radical feminism, and such radical feminists are over-represented among women with graduate degrees.
Are women without college degrees better than women with graduate degrees, when it comes to fulfilling the job of wife and mother?

I have met High IQ people who are dumber than a box of rocks concerning comon sense, then I have also met some high IQ people who also have large amounts of common sense.
I have met people with low IQ who have great common sense, and people with low IQ with NO common sense...
I think the main criteria would be the “Common Sense Quotient”...
IQ in a LOT of ways is meaningless.
I have know too many over educated morons....
I know that I have a High I.Q. and Ample amounts of common sense. Not sure how good a wife I would make. I am fairly certain sure I would make good one.
That being said if I were a guy looking for a wife I would look first at common sense. A wife with a High IQ and no common sense especially in matters of finance will ALWAYS be a disaster in a relationship. I have know too many male colegues who have married intelligent yet lacking common sense wives who have suffered greatly.
I think it’s the guys.
I have a beautiful, size 2, 20-something who has a degree, highly fluent in a second language, very well read, internationally experienced, sensitive to the needs of others, creative, good cook, sews and crochets, artistic and talented in calligraphy, writes novels, loves and adores children, extremely nurturing, optimistic and joyful, and lifts the people around her and deeply loyal.
And cannot find a husband.
She’s the kind of girl a guy needs to marry, and they want the high maintenance ones that they should only date. She gets thrown under the bus because she’s “too good” or she won’t get serious after 3 or 4 dates. It takes her a little to open up and that seems to be unacceptable. Gotta be a sex kitten.
In our family, we are grateful for wonderful women with poor judgment. I have four married brothers who all married their betters. How could they have done that, and brought such joy to our fmaily, if those women had exercised better judgment?
Loyal and eager to please.

Brains would be a definite plus, though.

Maybe your brothers have more to offer than you give them credit for. As long as they are happy that is what is important.

Before accepting this statistic, I'd like to know if the marriage rates are similar. Are higher IQ women just shacking up and changing partners every three years?
Brawny men are great if they have enough brains to recognize a great girl when they get one.
My daughter fell for a brawny and she would have made him insanely happy, but he preferred to chase after high maintenance and abusive women, who emasculated him all the time.

People generally marry into their iq range as both are interesting to the other.
My wife and I are very close in IQ and it has worked out well. She is the best friend I have ever had and I am hers. She claims that I am the only person in her life who has ever understood her and because of her extremely high IQ that is very likely.
I love smart women. It far outranks “hotness” as coin of the realm as far as I am concerned.
I have dated incredibly hot models most of whom were not involved in intellectual pursuits and I have dated girls who were quite plain in their looks but who were brilliant. The latter were far more enticing than the former.

Well, I disagree with that. Intelligence in a wife ought to be a factor somewhat, since your children will inherit half their genes from their mother.
You do not want to have children with low IQ’s do you?

Having seen male friend’s and colleagues raped by the family court system I dare say the assumption that men are tought to be lecherous is wrong. I am also assuming you have not dated many American women in the gen x and y age groups. Avoiding marriage is a good business decision in today’s society.

If someone reported this they are flat out lying. My IQ is in that range, & I am one of the first who called him below average intelligence. Many others have done so since. He is just not that smart. If I saw an IQ test notarized & otherwise certified that claimed Obama had a 145 IQ I’d assume it was forged. He’s not in that bracket.
Faith in IQ numbers is faith in man.
