I bounced around the gun section a bit.
I got out of AIT and was ammo team chief for awhile, an e1 doing an e5 job.
Mainly because I knew how to set the darn vernier scale fuzes.
Then I ended up as the rto.
And picked up the advance party position.
“We want e5’s doing e5 stuff” was the reason for that.
“How do I set this darn thing again?” Was a question I got to hear fairly often about the vernier fuzes we got, until they mercifully quit issuing them.

Interesting... I just told the guns WHAT to shoot.. never saw the equipment myself >.< (saw the guns, of course).. ;^)
