This woman claimed to be a professor. The cops asked for ID. She didn't comply, I saw her just ask what would happen if she didn't.
The cop attempted to peaceably cuff her, and she resists. He WARNS HER and she continues to resist.
I have been critical of some cops recently. In Broward county Florida, two LEOs were caught on camera (unaware to them) TRULY slammed a man to the ground who was doing NOTHING....
That being said, this does NOT appear to be a case of police brutality. I could be wrong.
Thoughts?
MY MISTAKE....WRONG HEADLINE.
HEADLINE SHOULD SAY:
ASU professor arrested; accuses officer of ‘excessive force’
Can you fix??? I took the headline from a source that wouldn’t post.
She’ll pull the race card too. Quit disrespecting me!
The woman was not complying with the requests and directives of the police officer. He stated his reason for detaining her and she decided she’d be an ass because he asked for her ID. In my opinion, the LEO was way more than patient with this woman.
She got what she asked for. Just guessing here, but I’m guessing she had a buzz on and was feeling confrontational.
It looked to me like she body slammed herself. The officer showed more self restraint than I have.
Why does she think the law shouldn’t apply to her?
I know what would happen if I responded that way to a police officer. He was more patient that I would have been.
She apparently has trouble understanding English and not much a teacher.

This calls for a beer summit at the Whitehouse.
she was not dressed like a professor
She’s black and a Professor. Do we even need to guess she is a “progressive” who worships at the altar of Karl Marx? So maybe she enjoyed all this, got to feel what it’s like to live under Stalin.
The woman involved kept referring to the street as being part of the campus. From the picture it sure looked like a busy street and not like any campus street I’ve ever seen. And even if it was a campus street, it was too busy for her to cross in the middle of it. She was risking an accident which would then have involved another driver. She refused to comply with the officer’s reasonable request.
Because the Volk must be protected from this insidious wave of walking.
The courts have ruled you only have to provide a name, you do not have to provide ID. AZ law does not require showing ID. The AZ cop was wrong, big time.
Attitude or not, you don't go body-slamming folks for lack of ID, and jaywalking.
I’m rooting for everybody to get fired.
My read, cop totally knew this woman was going to turn this into some big racial incident of police harassment, which it may well be how the incident began. However, the cops knew they were being filmed and played this one by the book. This lady looks like a big jerk.

Looks like she got what she deserved. If I acted the same way, I would expect to be Tasered and worse.
