The freaks with the tats from their hairline to their toes, and piercings all over their bodies...turn me off when it comes to them serving food.

Nice story. The simplest of foods tastes the best, especially when you’re really hungry.

Couldn’t agree more, but I can’t find a good one outside of the Hawkeye State.

"A couple of times a month won’t kill me."

My point was that more than that won't kill you either. Watching the calories and fat is watching the wrong things. That old dietary advice was never scientific is steadily being debunked.

"Five Guys is outstanding. Great...I mean GREAT!!! burgers AND!!! fries."

Burgers, yes. Fries no. In-N-Out and Five Guys both fail at fries. A good fry cannot be made by just cutting up a potato and throwing it in a fryer.

My spouse also remembered Dick Portillo when he had that little hot dog stand many years ago on the north side of Chicago. Now that Buffet's bought the Portillo’s chain, I hope that nothing changes the delicious food I have grown to love and look forward to when I can get an italian beef sandwich or a rib dinner.

The best thing about a McDonald’s hamburger is that you can it while driving.

Sure it tastes like mystery meat on cardboard, but I grew up on them and as bad as they taste, they bring back fond memories.

After a long day at the beach we would scramble up a buck and get 3 hamburgers a fry and a coke.

Taco Bell = Toxic Shell

I have had food poisoning twice from that place. Haven’t bought food there in 20 years.

It’s funny what you remember. I remember a friend telling me in the mid-60s that the Whopper was his favorite burger.

I know there is a Del Taco in Campbell on Hamilton as you are going towards Westgate.

Didn’t it come out a few years ago that Taco Bell was using spackle and sawdust instead of beef?

When Communist Reports can figure out how to make a better tasting hamburger that is fed to millions of people around the world for $1, and still make a profit, let me know.

I had a craving for one of McDonald’s fish filet sandwiches the other day and it cost almost $5.00 !!!!! ($4.89 to be exact).

Then, another day got a craving for Taco Bell’s Taco Salad. That cost almost $5.00, too!

The fast food prices for some of their more “decent” food are skyrocketing.

We go to Trader Joe’s all the time.
I’ll give it a try.

Thanks.
