At least 12 people have been shot across Chicago at the start of the long holiday weekend, including a woman killed as she sat on a porch near Garfield Park and a man slain in front of a hair salon on the South Side, police said.

Two flats are stacked vertically. Four flats are a pair of tow flats joined together. It was a way of maximizing living space in small lots. Many of them were made from locally quarried brown limestone, hence Brownstone.
Back in the day one famlly would own the entire unit and use the other(s) for rental income. Another type was a two flat on the upper floor and the lower unit housed a retail business of some kind. Bars were very common.
Many of those still exist in the better neighborhoods of Chicago though most have been zoned out of existence.
Chicago is looking more and more like the gates of hell. Look at the evil that has come out of Chicago in the last few years.
The mentally ill sociopaths in government use our tax dollars to pay others to carry their arms, as their propagandists attempt to separate us from ours…all the while coddling the lesser mentally ill sociopaths who help drive their agenda.
