Probably something along the line[s] of “Death with Dignity”.

I am always amazed at the obsession of the cop haters here.

As Vendome said in Post 246, you are wildly obtuse.

I’m glad you get off on watching thugs beat up women. I guess vicarious thrills are all you have when you can’t get out there and do it yourself.

I’ll bet you wish you could have been out there helping him “save” her. Maybe get in a few life saving punches of your own.

You are an effin idiot.

Hate to say it but, there it is.

I spent 4 years as a Sheriff Explorer and 2 years in college in Police Science.

I never saw an officer through a punch. In fact, it was explained several times why throwing a punch is ineffective by officers I rode with as we rolled up on certain situations.

Further, I worked in two different jails and never saw a punch fly.

there was a time I had a guy in the sally port. I instructed on his posture and conduct. Even told him what would happen if he violated the commands.

I had a hold of his belt and as I began to search him he started to turn around. I helped him and swung him to the opposite side of the cage. Next thing I knew the cage door flew open and three gigantic deputies grabbed this, forced him to the ground.

He was stripped of his clothes and cuffed.

Then marched into the “Blue Room” and left there all night.

I have no idea why it was called the Blue Room as it was green.

In offense/defense classes, at college, theory and law were explained as to why grappling and submission holds were superior to going “Toe to Toe” with an individual.

Punching anyone from a practical perspective can take a very long time and the results are subjective, leading to escalation of force many times.

Using the body’s linear construct, however, with elements of Judo and Haipkido, there is no confusion as a limb is controlled forced the body to act in a certain way, no matter what.

the theory of law attached to “fighting” is also taught.

So, no. You are wrong. Fighting and punching is not taught anywhere.

He was only able to cuff her and the violence stopped as a result of the undercover officer came to his aid.

The officer did what he had to do to subdue an irrational person trying to cross a busy freeway on foot. She was an immediate danger to herself and others, including the officer and needed to be restrained quickly.

Do you disagree?

We have a cop in our family. He was the Chief of police and retired to go back to the streets. He also works undercover. He just turned 40 yrs old.

He's appalled at the brutality of other police forces and by what the public accepts as "in the line of duty". At one point he was going to quit but decided that he'd stay because he could make a difference. He was taught to never get into a slug fest. They are taught how to take someone down and avoid fists.

The stupid crap that I see being spewed on FR in defense of this cop in the video shows just what kind of sheep some have become.

I read it, did you?

We learned how to fight for our lives during advanced officer safety training. It doesn't happen often but officers can end up being attacked by someone who doesn't want to go to jail and will kill to avoid it. An ultimate fighting-looking brute of an instructor, Officer Ben Fillman, showed us how to stop an attack by using a open-hand jab to the head which is delivered with enough force to shake the assailant's brain. The resulting shock is intended to provide the officer with an opening to get control of the situation.

This article has nothing to do with this video.

I just saw the video on the local news here in Southern California.

They guy was totally “pulling” all his punches.

It doesn’t look like it in the one frame below, but he totally wasn’t really going for it. I’m completely series.

Sorry but I’m on the cops side on this. He wasn’t doing anything wrong I don’t believe.

Just my opinion, but I’m for the cop on this one.

Once she was on the ground, there was no need to sit on her and beat her face with a fist.
And if he was going to cuff her, why sit on her to prevent her from rolling over.
There were better ways of handling that.
Sorry you feel it necessary to beat women in the face and get angry at the rest of us who don’t share your approval of it.

“and the closed fist into the face fifteen times “

Hard to tell about the first couple but definitely not closed fist to the face fifteen times.

Nope, that was for the jackboot cheerleader who was insisting that action was a rescue.
I included you as he was saying that lovely idiocy to you.

One wonders what the jackboot cheerleaders would do if one of theirs enjoyed just such a rescue?

“You don’t see what you see!” Alert.
Next up: the cop was merely trying to brush dirt from her face with his knuckles.

” closed fist into the face fifteen times “

I counted at most nine and most were not closed fist to the face.

More “you don’t see that” here.
Must be nice to know the cop was only offering milk and cookies, that those weren’t punches, and that she was being rescued, she must have been laughing!
Nine?
Thought you jbt cheerleader had decided it was only five?
Well, when you decide on a number, tell me then why any of it was needed once you already have someone on the ground?
If they are on the ground, you have more control of the situation.
