Low 90s so far here, with scattered thunderheads. We experienced an earthquake this morning, a 4.8 in the mountains to the south. Loud but tight, no swaying.

90s are forecast here on Monday. Earthquake at 4.8? I was in a wimpy 3.2 years ago at my business - no one else felt it as they were outside - and since I ran out and claimed ashtrays and wall pics were moving, my employees and customers thought I’d been drinking. I’d been in tornadoes, hurricanes and floods before, but that was my first eq in 64 yrs. I can’t imagine a 7, 8 or 9! Terrifying.

Out east we don't get many earthquakes but the geology is such that we sway more. The 2011 quake was 5.8 near Richmond but it cracked the Washington Monument. We felt it in Yorktown but I thought it was just a low flying plane at first. Glad your barbeque was not hit as hard as we were!
