An Australian Judge has implied that incest is okay ad to make matters worse he suggested legalized abortion can get rid of children that may be born deformed from the relationship.
According to The Independent, District Court Judge Garry Neilson has been criticized for espousing the view that sexual contact between siblings or between adults and children should perhaps no longer be viewed as unnatural or taboo, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
australiajudgeNeilson drew parallels with widely changing attitudes towards gay sex. In the same way, he said, a jury might find nothing untoward in the advance of a brother towards his sister once she had sexually matured, had sexual relationships with other men and was now available, not having [a] sexual partner.
The judge went on to say that incest is only criminalized because of the high chance that any resulting offspring will be born with serious birth defects, but added that even that [risk] falls away to an extent [because] there is such ease of contraception and readily access to abortion.
Neilson made the astonishing comments during the trial of a brother charged with raping his younger sister. The man had earlier pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting his sister when he was 17 and she was 10 or 11 in 1973 or 1974 but pleaded not guilty to the charge of sexual intercourse without consent, with an alternative charge of incest, for the alleged 1981 offense.
Prosecutor Sally Dowling is now trying to get the case moved to another judge.
These remarks in my submission are completely disgraceful, Dowling stated. The reference to abortion is particularly repellent.
Don’t tell me. This is Maobama’s next pick for the Supreme Court.
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
Incest, pedophilia, bestiality, and polygamy will become the new deviancies du jour.
...what in the world is ‘new’ about any of these deviancies...including homosexuality...?
Only “new” in the sense as the West is turning post-Christian, the historical societal restraints on these behaviors is sadly disappearing in the name of “progress” but I think a better term for it would be “regress.”
