It’s a cat. It hadn’t been fed in several days and went to the neighbor’s house to get the neighbor to feed it. My cat paws at the window when it wants in to eat.

Cats are persistent!
Our cat taps on our shoulders when he wants something; if we disregard it, he will take our hand or arm in his mouth.

That article was so garbled, but I still shared it on facebook. We are of the “lucky black cat” club, and that cat was sure lucky for its owner.
GOOD KITTY!

Oh, good lord. Five days later the cat was hungry, so it’s smart? Sounds like it was trying to save its own skin, not the owner.

Well the cat saved not only the women’s life, but the one who more likely feds him as well. Cats do not forget those who fed them.
