You get it. Johnny wasn’t about fame and fortune so much as he was about his chosen style of music. Always one of my favorite stringers

The heroin was in the early days, went through a year of rehab. Being an albino has it problems also. He was diabetic to boot. The dude had a ton of baggage other than the early drug abuse. He wouldn’t have lived to be seventy if he continued the early days excesses

I was fortunate to see him at the Peppermint Beach Club in Virginia Beach back in 1991. Small club. Johnny walked in the front door like anyone else. Took about five minutes to get tuned, set up and then jammed for 2 hours.
