IRMO, SC — Three Columbia adults and three underage teenagers have been charged in a home invasion Thursday that stemmed from an argument earlier in the day between two teen girls over a boy, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said.

Charged in the incident were Lenore Sharlene Jennings, 43, and Terrell Lamont Miller, 25, both of Jamil Road; Martha Nicole Pringle, 20, of Alcott Drive; and, two 15-year-old girls and a 15-year-old boy, who were not identified because of their ages.

The warrants charge that Jennings, armed with a stolen handgun, threatened the homeowner and an unknown number of children in the house when she and her five companions entered the home, through a carport entrance at a residence in the 5300 block of Bush River Road late Thursday night.

They allegedly went to the house to find and threaten the teenage girl who lives there and was one of the girls involved in the argument earlier in the day, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department spokesman John Allard said. Details of the argument were not available.

Authorities were called at 11:37 p.m. and tracked the six suspects down at a nearby convenience store, where they were all taken into custody.

Jennings faces charges of first-degree burglary, unlawfully possessing a firearm that had been reported stolen, unlawful possession of a firearm by a person who was convicted of a violent crime that is a felony and unlawfully carrying a firearm. Miller and Pringle faces a charge of first-degree burglary.

The three adults were being held at the Lexington County Detention Center. The three teenagers were being held at a S.C. Department of Juvenile Justice facility in Columbia

Picked this up in the Jax News. A recent spate of events here in river city. You don’t have to be Carnac or Johnny Carson, to figure out whom is involved:

Jacksonville’s crime wave that has recently averaged a shooting day and a killing every other day continued Monday night when a drive-by gunman killed one man in Atlantic Beach and a robber in Jacksonville fired shots that hit two men then continued early Tuesday with a shoot-out that started as a dispute near Interstate 95 and Golfair Boulevard in Jacksonville.
Patrol officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office were called shortly before 8:30 p.m. to investigate reports of shots in the area. The unidentified victim was found in the backyard of a home and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the man was standing on the side of the road when a white vehicle drove down the street and several shots were fired at the victim. The man fled on foot and was later found in the backyard.

An hour before, two were shot on Jacksonville’s Northside during a robbery attempt. The victims were shot by a man who flagged down their car then tried to rob them. When the victims drove away, the suspect opened fire, hitting one in the neck and the other in the leg and arm.

In the early Tuesday shooting, a dispute between three men off Golfair Boulevard spilled onto the southbound lanes of I-95, according to police.

Two men were in one car and a third was in a separate car ramming into each other and firing shots over the course of approximately five miles, police said.

The shootout ended near the Eighth Street in a collision and the vehicles could not move.

When police arrived at the scene of the disabled vehicles about 1:40 a.m., one of the men was discovered to have a gunshot wound.

All three men are in police custody and being treated for injuries they received in the gun battle and crash. The Times-Union is not naming them because charges haven’t been filed, but their ages are 19, 22 and 25.

Police began expanded efforts in May to combat a crime wave that erupted in the city’s northwest neighborhoods, leading to a surge of police to those areas and depleting coverage in other neighborhoods.

A routine of shootings, stabbings and killings continued after the announcement of the surge — known as Operation Ceasefire.

The daily average of shootings and reports every other day of killings began about two weeks ago. That includes the unsolved slayings of a 14-year-old in the Ceasefire area, a 16-year-old just outside that zone and other attacks in myriad neighborhoods.”

Ceasefire area? Perhaps they should change it to a free fire zone and bring in the 155s.

Back in the 1970’s Bush River Road was a nice area, 2 malls, a large shopping center, nice restaurants. Now there’s only Walmart, a mostly empty mall and crime.

Real Mexico is the best Mexican food in Columbia. Try the Cubano, it’s awesome!
