Meriam Ibrahim, from Sudan, disembarks with her children Maya, in her arms, and Martin, accompanied by Italian deputy Foreign Minister Lapo Pistelli, after landing from Khartoum, at Ciampino's military airport, on the outskirts of Rome, Thursday, July 24, 2014.

Thanks for sharing. My monitor got a bit blurry. Bless her and her family and keep them safe now that they’re out of that terrorist ****hole (pardon my French). I hope they all live a long, happy and blessed life together.

Truly a miracle that she’s alive. I mean honestly; what chance did she have (much less her baby) 3 months ago? Now she’s safe in Rome apparently. Wow.
Last I heard she was stopped at the border after she was released from prison. I thought she was dead for sure.

This is truly a miracle! Can you imagine going from the terror of the prison, awaiting torture and death just for not renouncing your Christian faith, to being safely in Italy and meeting the Pope? What a blessing! Prayers do work.

Today we over use the word "brave" a lot.
This is why we should not. It leaves us with no words to describe someone who really is brave.
Kissing your boy toy on TV after you get NFL contract? Not brave. You risked nothing.
Saying no when told to renounce your God or die? Brave. You risked everything.

Great photo op Pope Francis but why you actionless to the 300 Christian girls kidnapped, beaten and raped in Nigeria. Why the silent when 50,000 Chaldean Christian are threatened and run out of Mosul. Stop being soft on muslim terrorist who kill Christian for no other reason that they are Christians. Stand up for Jesus and he children.

That is good to know. Meanwhile, I hope they have good security in the US. They are going to need it. I wonder if there is a fund set up to help the family.

Perhaps you only get your news from the MSM. The Pope has spoken many times about the Nigerian and Iraqi Catholics who are victims of Islamic terror.
Here is but one such story - http://www.christianpost.com/news/as-christians-abandon-mosul-pope-francis-prays-for-end-of-persecution-in-mideast-123648/

Wonderful story. It must have been a never ending nightmare for her and her family.
I’m sure Obama and Kerry were instrumental in her getting out of the country. /sarc

Praying for the end of persecution doesn’t help the 200 girls who were raped or the 50,000 Chaldean Christians in Mosul.
Time for the Second Crusade.
