He followed the University’s protocol, thats a relief. I would have informed the University after I called the police and suspended the coach pending the investigation.

With an attitude like that you would never be a part of a big name athletic organization!

Probably true.

You know I think Joe Paterno actually thought JS as adequately punish, when he made sure JS was denied an opportunity to be a head school of a major football program. At least that is my theory, but only Joe Paterno would have known.

he did.

as he didn’t run the department, he informed his supervisor, who ejected sandusky from returning. the supervisor also informed police.

what more would you like? should he have become a vigilante? should he have burned down the sandusky’s house? shot him?

oh, sorry. rational thought doesn’t matter when you’re on a witch hunt

“You know I think Joe Paterno actually thought JS as adequately punish, when he made sure JS was denied an opportunity to be a head school of a major football program. “

Joe had had discussions with JS about being ‘the coach’. JP said he would not allow it unless JS gave up his involvement in Second Mile. JS chose Second Mile over being head coach. JS got just what he wanted. Emeritus status and access to young boys. JP enabled that.

Uh ... JS was not ejected from returning till the indictment years later ....

JS continued molesting boys for years after JP knew what a vile man he was. JP remained silent and enabled JS to ruin the lives of more boys.

Never informed police.

JS’s discipline? Told to wear shorts when showering with young boys!

If it was your boy that was being molested? Never mind. Rational thought is not allowed when defending JP.

JoePa was asked why he didn’t follow-up on the incident when he saw JS getting away with molesting a boy ....

“I had other things to do.”

He should have assisted McQueary in going to file a police report.

How many of these boys could JP have saved by speaking up?

Wikipedia ....

Locations of assaults[edit]

According to the grand jury testimony, the assaults took place:
in Sandusky’s basement,[41]
at one of the victim’s high school,[42]
in Sandusky’s car,[43]
in the Lasch Football Building at Penn State’s University Park campus,[44]
Toftrees Golf Resort and Conference Center,[45]
the East Area Locker Rooms on PSU campus,[46] and
a hotel room in Texas.[47]

At least 20 of the incidents were said to have taken place while Sandusky was still employed by Penn State.[48]

He’s logged 23 posts on a 50 post thread. He’s obviously got an agenda. Now he’s down to copy/pasting wikipedia. Just ignore him.

I wonder how many deaths Urban Meyer and UF are responsible for - for coddling Aaron Hernandez (and assigning him a wealthy football donor/pro bono attorney) in an effort to win football games?

Yes, that's my guess too. I think his agenda has something to do with being outraged at seeing threads about how wonderful ignoring the molestation of young boys is.

Unlike you, I condemn the coach at my former university. I have even posted that the UofF has pushed UofMiami to the sidelines in relation to unethical behavior by the athletic department. Yes, UM was an enabler. So was JP.

Right there with you. Those two national championship with Urban are tarnished. And we know the reason he really left, but they pushed that under the rug. (Guess the Coeds in Columbus aren’t as tempting)

Here is where I called out the UofF on 8/6 in your other thread.

Nothing there. Just some innocent horseplay in the showers ...

What a great story, thanks FlJoePa, I wouldn’t have expected anything less from Coach Paterno.

Some would have expected more from JP than “I have other things to do” when informed about a sexual assault in his showers ...
