Al Gore Junior told everyone that his college roommate was Tommy Lee Jones.

Do you think that Tommy Lee Jones bothered telling ANYONE that his college roommate was Al Gore Junior?

Tommy Lee Jones told me his college roommate was a tree that talked in a monotone. The tree that inspired Love Story.

Ah yes, the (pre-computer) solitaire addict. He kept a record of every game. Playing solitaire, studying, and attending classes was all he ever did. He was boredom incarnate. I would eventually learn that by comparison to a typical roommate, he was magnificent.

During my extremely short college career, one guy in the dorm used Lysol as deodorant and never once took a shower.

I don’t think the flies would even land on him.

My first college roommate never washed his bedding. Damn it stunk in the morning when he got out of bed. Hard to believe I still remember that after 34 years.

Boot camp is just as weird. There was one guy who on the first day looked like he hadn’t had a bath in a week. There was another guy who would pick up random people’s towels and underwear after he took a shower.

There you go!

I had a roommate, post college, an Italian-American guy, boy would he clean the house! Scrubbed the kitchen floor on his hands and knees. I think his momma taught him well.

Son told me that one guy in Basic wet the bed. He got put out, when they found out. So did his lower bunk mate who didn’t report it, I believe.

My freshman roommate was obsessed with Celine Dione. A bunch of us were watching WWF wrestling one night and one guy saw my roommate’s Celine Dione poster and said,”I wish the Rock (he’s a wrestler) would put ‘the Rock Bottom’ (the Rock’s signature move) on Celine Dione. My roommate, who could literally bench press 450lbs, picked the guy up by his throat and screamed at the guy to never talk that way about Celine Dione again. The rest of us were rolling on the floor laughing too hard to help the poor guy. He didn’t come to any more WWF watching parties.

The first day I met my first roommate, he was vomiting in his mini fridge the night I arrived. He then went out and purchased a new one for both of us and a new TV, the old one went out the window.

The first day I met my second roommate, his parents took us out to eat, his mother was grabbing and massaging my thigh under the table and that night, he vomited on his girlfriend while they were having sex and he then urinated on his pile of porn. I petitioned for a single due to a hardship after he was carted off the following week and treated for four days for alcohol poisoning and smoking too much hash. He never completed his first year, fell off the grid (his parents could not find him and he was still 17) and wound up bar tending somewhere in Canada.

Wetting the bed is always a way of getting out of basic. Some do it intentionally to get out.

I had two Viet Namese room mates. It was terrible. They would have buddies come over and they would start playing pai gow and that would last 3 sometimes 4 days straight.
