Sea World's profits fall $42MILLION below Wall Street's expectations after devastating Blackfish

Shares of SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. (SEAS) fell Wednesday after the theme park operator reported second-quarter profit and sales that missed Wall Street expectations and cut its outlook for the year. The Orlando, Florida-based company also said it believes attendance during the period was hurt by negative publicity surrounding its treatment of killer whales, which are trained to perform tricks. A documentary last year called Blackfish suggested that the company's treatment of the killer whales provokes violent behavior from them, which in turn has led to the death of trainers.

The kids are boycotting Sea World. And you think that the global warming propaganda isn’t effective in government schools?

Sea World should sue the living pants off of CNN. That “documentary” was a hit piece, plain and simple.

Sea World was my favorite park in Orlando.

I only observed the highest regard for the creatures there.

This propaganda campaign against Sea world goes all the way back to “Free Willy”.

I get the impression this “change.org” doesn’t give a rats rear about the trainers lives, just the animals.

I hadn’t been to Sea World since I was a kid, but went last year and noticed the trainers are no longer in the tank during a show.

The treatment of those mammals make them kill their trainers? They swim in packs and hunt baby sperm whales. They kill great white sharks.

They are called killer whales!

God I hate these people.

The most cruel thing Sea World has ever done to a whale was making them live in Cleveland. And they have not done that for quite awhile now.

“The most cruel thing Sea World has ever done to a whale was making them live in Cleveland.”

C’mon, it’s not like they made them live on the economy and commute to work...did they?
