I believe THE STRIPPER was played by David Rose and his Orchestra back in the early 1960s. It was on the radio quite often.

David Rose was always on the RED SKELTON SHOW.

“The Stripper” spent a week atop the Billboard Hot 100 in early July, 1962, and for years remained a favorite “oldie.” We even played at football games when I was in my high school band.
