Ashton Kutcher Ditching Movies For Mobile Apps After Marrying Pregnant Fiancee Mila Kunis
Design & Trend ^ | 8-15-2014 | Peter Black

Kutcher has invested "over $200 million" in a plethora of companies, including Skype, Foursquare, and Airbnb. He is also a product engineer at Lenovo.

Kutcher, like most people, never considered himself much of an actor, although he couldn't resist playing idol Steve Jobs in 2013's "Jobs," which was evisistered by critics.

"He never thought he was any good at acting and never really liked the fame," the insider said. "When Ashton took on the role as Steve Jobs, it is because his ultimate dream is to do what Steve Jobs did, but in the mobile world."

In addition to getting to play Jobs, and getting paid millions of dollars, acting has also afforded Kutcher other meager benefits, such as the opportunity to meet Kunis, who is pregnant with Kutcher's child.

"Ashton believes 100 percent that acting happened to him because he was meant to find his soul partner and the woman he wants to be with forever," the source said.

"Technology is Ashton's true passion and he is doing what he loves to do with the woman that he is in love with."

I’ll give him half credit for that one, she was only 16 when That 70’s Show first aired.

“My father told me when I was old enough to work, that any work was respectable if you did your best.”

My wife, who is a pretty sharp cookie, says, “There is nobility in all work. That is why anyone who works should be shown dignity.”

I’ve read a little about him. Seems like a smart young man, and the antithesis of his goofball characters.

A fool and his money are soon parted.
Engineering is not something you can just decide to do as a hobby.

It requires a high level of focus and love of solving impossible problems.

Banging chicks is not a use full skill in engineering unless u want to loose even more $$$$ to lawyers.

He spent 8 years on television working side-by-side daily with his soulmate, married someone else, then came back to her after that broke up?

For whatever decent leanings this guy has Mila Kunis is likely to be a corrosive influence on him. She is very liberal and seem to have a real bug up her rear-end about Christians.

Especially considering that her folks were Jews who fled the Soviet Union, they tend to be fairly conservative.

Yep, I don’t care all that much for his acting but he seems like a stand-up guy, and Hollywood type with a functional brain.

Friend of a friend is His financial advisor. They meet every morning to discuss investments. He’s a pretty bright guy and has some interesting tech interests. I wouldn’t bet against him.

Engineering is not something you can just decide to do as a hobby.

He may not has his degree which makes me ask the question, is he their because is a natural ( many can build a hot bike, street rod or homebuilt airplane and have more smarts and can do skills than a text book engineer, and is he one of these ), or is he on staff with his Hollywood connections makes him a "rain-maker" to garner capital ( other than his own) to make some of these projects fly...

My opinion is he made connections by bringing $$$.

All Gore did the same thing to Google.

Possibly. But the rule of thumb I have heard in this arena is 1 in 7 or is it 1 in 8 is a hit. If he is batting better than that, good for him, however, we may not know all the “dogs” he invested in....

Same for me. He’s never done anything that I found objectionable. He has some liberal views but also gave that speech at the MTV Teen Choice Awards telling kids that they had to work hard to get ahead. I also understand he’s fairly smart despite the dumb characters he plays. So if he wants to do this, more power to him.

From Wikipedia:

Kutcher enrolled at the University of Iowa in August 1996, where his planned major was biochemical engineering,

Of course, he got sidetracked when a talent scout saw him. But, sounds like he has some smarts.
