By this point, you have made up your own mind, as so many of us have. You are from one of two camps. One is the "hasn't Pete suffered enough? The other is the "Pete got exactly what he deserved"

I don't think either of these is relevant. By any objective measure, Rose is one of the best players to ever live. If the Baseball Hall of Fame is intended to recognize and honor the best players of their eras, Rose must be inducted - the HoF is a joke otherwise.

There was ONE law that every player knew. The integrity of the game depended on it. Case closed.
Fortunately, now the players have more money than any mobster, so the idea of players taking bribes is obsolete. But, not in Pete’s day.

No proof that Rose took any ‘Roids’. What he did with the betting was bad but done after his playing career. Yeh PR sucks but his MLB career didn’t— he’s HOF material.

Rose is one of the best players to ever live. And the Unabomber was one of the best mathematicians to ever live.But somehow he was unable to understand that it was wrong to apply the laws of physics in certain ways when dealing with certain people.

Pere Rose the player holds some all time records,and is among the top players in baseball history based on his 20+ year playing career.
Pete Rose the man broke baseball rules by gambling on baseball.
How to reconcile all of that. That is the question I always have.

The utter Hypocrisy of Baseball, so many of their owners have owned and gambled on Horses. How many Owners gamble on games? Especially teams that are group owned.
I live in Vegas, If Rose bet against his team maybe they have something there, but, I understand he only bet on his team. I see no conflict of interest.
We have a POTUS who is betting he can ruin our country and what are we doing about that important issue.

Rose must be inducted - the HoF is a joke otherwise. Here,we have Ty Cobb...and next to him is Hank Aaron....and next to *him* is Lou Gherig.And now we're making room for Pete Rose's exhibit right next to that of the Yankee Clipper.
