Everyone is predicting that Obama will 'grant Executive Amnesty' to illegal aliens before Labor Day.
Can anyone explain to me what law, clause or Constitutional article Obama can cite that permits him the power to do such a thing?
Anything. I'll settle for anything.
Pardons wouldn't work. All that would do is forgive the past crimes of being in the country illegally. One microsecond after the Pardon was issued, all the illegal immigrants would be committing a new crime, the ongoing crime of being here illegally.
Pardons cannot be granted for future crimes, so that won't work either.
Just what is this lawless creep going to cite that permits him the power to do this?
If he has no power to do it, the States and the Republican conservatives in congress can simply refuse to cooperate.

There is no effective GOP opposition to Amnesty because the GOP is in favor of Amnesty. In the GOP’s shortsighted, suicidal view, we must replace millions of aborted 1990s babies who are not alive to work, pay taxes and vote for ever-expanding government. There is no longer a two party system — just two big government parties who make it look like we have a choice. This is why Conservatives are marginalized within the GOP, and actively scuttled when they become too successful.

Well, they are kind of right. HE won’t use violence, but his GOV LE agencies will, along with the DOJ, and “his people” in the community along with his DREAMERS (or Gutierrez’s DREAMERS).
I know what you mean though IMR. Most are too afraid to see what’s right before their eyes. Somehow most Americans think they are inoculated from war and strife right here on our soils. Not everything has to be ISIS or Al Qaeda terror in our cities.

I don’t recall seeing anything in the Bible where God promised no hell on earth on US Soils. We had the Civil War but have been spared since. How many other countries have dealt with war’s horrors in their own town. Some for a few years, others it’s an everyday part of life. US citizens should never think they are immune.
What about diplomatic immunity? Maybe he declares all illegals are now diplomats...

I fail to understand why African Americans would be in favor of this. If they don’t care about themselves, what about their families? If they’re well off enough not to have it matter financially, what about the other African Americans who will be hurt by it? I feel defensive of our black American citizens. Why don’t they? Or should I just shut up and go away?
Law? He doesn’t need no stinkin’ law. We’re devolving to a third world country, where the “law” is just a fiction to hide behind when it’s convenient, but in reality, government is executed by fiat instead. Even Congress is only being nominally nodded to, but Obama simply ignores them when he doesn’t get his way.
We don’t have a president, we have a dictator. So no, it does’t matter that there’s no law or authority to do whatever it is he’s going to do, he’s just going to do it anyway, citing whatever bulls**t focus-groups the best. Who’s going to stop him? Harry Reid?
The answer would be dramatic ...

True. Amnesty blather has convinced our city government to issue “ID” cards, based on whatever the illegal tells them. There are big signs in the public libraries promoting these cards, saying “You need an ID to rent an apartment,” for this, for that, for the other thing. It’s the public sentiment that is being manipulated.
