Well said, we need to start taking back some good English words that have been hijacked by the deviants.

I still think the Rams made a backroom deal to draft Sam in order to get the league to support their later move. They cared nothing about the issue. Only downside was the backlash which they were prepared to take.

Sam may still make an NFL team.

Tebow’s leaving and being replaced by Manning produced the greatest offense in the history of the NFL. Tebow quickly disappeared from the NFL.

There are hundreds of 1st-rounders who have busted.

My only point was that both players drew massive amounts of publicity in the NFL because of factors other than their skills on the field.

Insulting because of their beliefs not because of their football abilities.

Since ESPN was so pumped up about Sam, they should hire him as
a TV Personality on one of their shows. And watch their ratings drop
like a rock.

The moment Sam played tonsil hockey with his boyfriend on TV, the Rams knew they made a big mistake.

They handled it about as well as they could, you can’t say that they didn’t give Sam every opportunity to make the team.

Bottom line, is if you are going to be a second or third string defensive player, you’d better make an impact on special teams or else there is no justification for you taking up a roster spot.

Sam better learn how to play on Special Teams, he did ok on defense, probably good enough to make a team, IF he could also play on Special Teams.

ESPN did more to get the guy cut than anyone. With shower talk and endless talk about Sam...what team needs it?

Re: “ESPN did more to get the guy cut than anyone.”

Sam needs a year on a NFL Practice Squad to work on fundamentals, too.

As a pass rusher, he has an explosive NFL level first step, and he has a NFL level relentless drive toward the quarterback.

But, he also has some serious deficiencies.

He is not NFL ready when trying to break contact with a blocker.

And, he does not have NFL ready tackling skills against running backs.

And two mouths are always better than one.

...please, have some decency...whenever I hear about Michael Sam and two mouths, some very upsetting pictures of draft day, with his boy toy next to him, come flooding back, and I can’t get them out of my head...

...have you no pity...

I was one threatened with a ZOT when I spoke in glowing terms of my own "gay marriage" on a thread some time ago. In spite of explaining that my wife of over 40 years (sadly now passed) and I met at a Conservative Christian college, the buzzword "gay" triggered alarm bells.

I'm greedy. Not only do I want my country back but also I also want my language back.

I’m fully behind you, I even told my wife a few months back the same thing.

I’m sorry to hear your wife passed, however, I’m sure she’d still be proud to see you upholding your principles.
