A recent study found that pet owners tended to be less lonely, less fearful, more extrovert and less preoccupied than non owners
We live in troubled times, no doubt about it. I cannot remember a time in my life when the news has been so relentlessly grim, so tripping over with eagerness to offer ever more depraved examples of the horrors human beings can inflict on each other. On a personal level, too, I've been struggling with periods of the worst depression I've experienced for many years. It's at such times that the companionship of animals can offer welcome respite both from the troubles of human beings in general and of this human being in particular.

Handsome dog you have there. King Shepherd?
I had to laugh at your comment, I have two German shepherds, a male and a female, the female is smarter than me I’m sure, I believe most of the time, I’m smarter than the male. They are siblings from the same litter.
Very handsome pup. Except for color, he look like my male. He weighs 120 and is lean and also tall.
Wow, scary isn’t it?
My poor sister died 2 years ago (almost exactly), and left her little 1-1/2 yo “maltipoo”. Most of her family (dad’s side, really) doesn’t do much for the animals, but her son (pre-dates “dad”) cares for her and the bunny, and the dog is very attached to him, even immediately after her death. It’s as if she knew which member was most like her owner and most attached to her. She also gets very hyper-excited the few times we come over (or she sees us).
I would take her but I want a break from the dogs now, after having the worst-allergic dog ever who just died. Plus I need a job (allergic dog didn’t help the finances, either).
No way that is a false Shepherd. Too lithe - betting mostly American show lines in the background, even if far back.
I learned something new today.
Thank you.

The king shepherd is cross-bred dog developed in the 1990s by blending German Shepherd Dogs with Shiloh Shepherds and Long Haired European German Shepherd.[1]
Thanks, Rebel. There is a King up the street from me. A VERY intimidating-looking dog until you get to know him. His head alone is massive.
Does it come with a Chia teleprompter?
Yeah, maybe that’s why muslims are so mean. They need pets. Maybe they can adopt the stray dogs in Kabul, Afghanistan.
