What will go down in high school football history, a grounds crew in Maryland mowed the artificial turf.
Wouldn't it smell like something is burning? Maybe just look wrong?

While I was in high school, I planted a flower bed and a tree in front of my school and they mowed down every single flower. I still get a little fired up about that...

I concur. Our local HS football field was wrecked one year when a dunce groundskeeper drove a tractor across the field after leaving the sprinklers on all night. They filled the giant ruts with sand and played that night anyway.
