I have some that I loaded up for a Blackhawk that are quite satisfying - 26 grains of H110 under a 250 grain JHP bullet.

That is pretty hot. I killed a black bear with my .44 mag. Three shots, first at 25 yds, last at the base if the tree I was in. Those were max loads of 24 grains of H110 under a 240 grain jacketed soft point. That same load showed pressure signs when fired from a friends .44 Super Blackhawk.

The .45 case has a lot more room in it than a .44 Mag case (which is actually a .43 caliber case), so this wasn’t even a 100% load. The stated pressures never exceed 30,000 CUP.
