You don’t know the art of shopping until you know how to carry everything you buy home in your two hands.
One of our guest pastors talked recently about his first shopping trip in NYC. He got to the check-out and looked at all that stuff and then it hit him, “How do I get all that home?” At that point it’s either pay the supermarket for delivery or hire a cab.
OUCH!
Oh, and never, never, never, never, never, EVER, use the wife.
Just sayin'.
Apparently NYC is building a new courthouse down near the old fish market. They think it will be easier for people to get a herring.
Yesterday I heard some ladies on the subway talking about how our new mayor seemed like a real fun guy.
I told them he’s a fungus. Fungi is plural.
Love the egg info!!!!
Thanks Geron. Am as confused as the news anchor so that is a Great Beginning.
lol.
I will have to rewrite that to make it more clear.
Yes, SG. It’s true. Also, bet someone you can make an egg spin on it’s end like a top. (You can do this with a boiled egg.)
All the puppies are gone, and I miss them like mad, but I had surgery for Carpel Tunnel on my left hand this morning, and can’t lift anything, so I guess it was good timing.
Canned Spam began the demise of all mankind?
There is a bacon flavored version now, so it’s all okay.
When my carpal tunnel surgery was done, it was for both hands...one at a time, of course. It needs to be done again...too much repetitious work.
It’s easy to miss puppies. I can certainly relate! I hope you recover quickly!
Holy Cow. This from you two?
You can spell, know grammar, and can write.
T-C, you are raising and teaching 8 humans. Face, you remember recipes, understand math etc., and where you last put things.
I can't do any of that, but I do a great job shopping. Somehow I make comprehensive lists with long term needs in mind, remember to bring the list, and am usually get everything on it. We hardly ever run out of anything.
Rats! I'd rather understand grammar, math, and have a working memory!
LOL!
And I’d rather shop comprehensively! There was a day when I never ran out of anything. I would make a list and my mind was so good that even if I forgot the list, I could still get everything on it. Without fail.
Then a got CFIDS, and I had to learn how to function all over again. Oddly enough, the things I learned to do at a younger age are the things I can recall at will, now. It is a source of great frustration for me that I can’t even keep a checkbook properly, now, and I used to be a cashier and even filled out tax returns for folks on a small scale.
But thanks for the compliment! I appreciate you!
I understand your missing the puppies. I still miss Ash, after almost two years.
I had to send James and Vlad outside because they were insanely yammering. I’m too tired for that! I think I’ll heat up some leftover coffee: someone swiped my last diet cola.
Here is a happy pup with his new owner.
She named him "Winter".
We learned all the important things when we were little. :-)
You could always sell them on Kijiji. It worked with the puppies.
LOL! That’s very funny.
A great reason not to live in New York!
