Just kidding, of course. That was one of my favorite lines from “Mary Poppins.”

I’m here. I think. I’m going to start my laundry in a few, but I really have the Hongries. Busdaddy’s fridge is as bare as my stomach, I think. He has enough food to get him to tomorrow, while I get to scavenge today. We’ll go to the store when he gets home.

Yesterday we spent about two hours at the shooting range, and it is so FAR from town it may as well be in the next county. I didn’t have proper ear protectors, but had to use the little plugs that were sold there. They kept falling out, so my ears are still buzzing this morning.

I had a hard time handling the Glock 30, and my left shoulder (the one that was dislocated a couple of years ago) began to hurt and that distracted me to where my shots went progressively farther out of the tighter circles.

But it was fun, and once he gets a smaller gun for me, I think I will do much better with practice.

Most of the shooting I do is shooting my mouth off.

It will be a while before this shoulder heals and I can attempt the other kind.

But shooting my mouth off is kinda fun.

I’m guilty of that, too, which is why I stay on the UT...less chance of being banned and/or suspended!

Late morning, all. It’s Bilbo’s Birthday, and we’re about to have Second Breakfast and Literature. We have pumpkin-spice food products.

I have pumpkin-spice food products but will probably give them all away.

I just went for a 25 minute walk, but it was brisk enough to work up a sweat. I had just enough change to get two bananas at 7-11. Meanwhile, the first load of laundry finished washing.

Although I cleaned the truck out Saturday, and even shampooed the passenger seat, (spilled iced coffee) I didn’t find the driver license. *sigh*

And I have to reschedule my MRI. However, this morning I feel fairly optimistic about a lot of things, so that should go a long way towards making my life easier.

I hope!

PS: Busdaddy has lost another eight pounds. He is doing very well on his diet! But then, his food comes by FedEx and it’s enough to last 28 days, so all he has to get in between deliveries are eggs, salad greens and drink mix to make sure he takes in the right amount of water/liquids.

I’m still trying to learn how to buy, but needing lettuce and fruits is new. And terrifying!

Congratulations to Busdaddy on his loss and you on your perseverance. I’ve never mastered shopping - just go to Walmart or somewhere else about every day. We stopped at Aldi on the way home from the gym for the Second Breakfast items.

I make lists for this new diet, but by the time I get to the store, I’ve misplaced the list and have to try and remember what I had on it. Not easy, when there are so many distractions.

Perhaps I need to make a master list and use it every time I have money for groceries until I have it memorized. Then I can modify it to suit my tastes. Lists. Always with the lists.

:o|
