“Clean your room!” -said by mom after sulfur hexfluoride.
The deepened voice would freak people out.

I’ve been trying to access my genealogy, and found the program that opens it is outdated, and I can’t get to it to update it. I don’t know how to get around it, so I will have to get in touch with my computer guru, get a thumb drive and transfer it all to my new computer. *sigh* And I had such big plans....

Sunny!

I need to go to Walmart and get some lettuce and frozen fruit as soon as Shawn leaves.

Oh, I did read it. I just hadn’t processed it into a useful state.

OH. Perhaps the useful state was taking care of the immediate crisis du jour, a la Kathleen. No biggie!

I’m tired and rather befuddled. Kathleen is feeling better, for now. I’ll give her a dose of Ibuprofen before bed. Just a little cold in the head, it looks like. I got the chance to lie on the sofa and hold her this morning, which was fun. When your baby is getting on 3, you have to hug when you can!

(There’s always Frank, of course, but he’s very wiggly and usually smells bad. Kathleen has a pleasant scent of hair products, like Bill.)

I’ve been stressing myself over the fact that I couldn’t access my PAF (Personal Ancestry Files) as I found some information to add on Hockeybughow’s father’s line.

Later this afternoon, I recalled I had a CD-ROM of the program, found it, installed it and I’m now printing the index of the family. I need to link up Hockeybughow’s paternal grandmother, and though I know where it is, I have yet to provide the link so it can all be printed out.

Working hard to make sure nothing is lost...

I’m glad Kathleen is feeling better. Babies are nice to snuggle with. Much better than katz...

Frank is a boy, and boys, by nature, are wiggly and stinky.

Good for you! I read an article recently that said that knowing your family history is very important to people’s development toward healthy adulthood.

Kathleen just came and took all my crackers! At least I held on to the wine ...

Wine is very important...I will try to get some tomorrow along with some Schneider’s pretzels and some Sierra Mist.

There are over 6000 entries in my PAF file, and I need to access it when I search for ancestors not my own. I am content knowing it is not lost!

And I’m also excited about finding the census records of my son’s father’s family...his paternal grandmother’s line has been researched and THAT is the line I need to merge with. I think it will produce another 3000 entries that will most likely meet up with what is already in the file. I’m excited to find it.

And now, I think, I’m going to bed.

"Frank is a boy, and boys, by nature, are wiggly and stinky."

Some of us actually take pride in that. Gives us bragging rights.

“I smell worse than all my brothers!”?

Not working in terms of sitting on the sofa hugging with me, although there’s nothing universally wrong with it ...

So I have been sitting here watching (periodically, not constantly) a drama of life, death, and survival unfolding..

A while ago now I returned from picking up Rags the blotchycat's ashes from the vet. When I sat down here in front of my computingdevice, I was greeted or otherwise noticed by an annoying moth-like flying critter flitting around in the spectral emissions of my trusty desklampthing. And banging into my monitor. And my forehead. And my stack of stuff (which most often consists of a pile of unpaid bills.) In other words, it was being an annoyance big- (or maybe that's bug-) time. And every time I attempted to squash the goosh out of it to eliminate its only noticeable feature (you know, being an annoyance), it would successfully retreat into areas of the desk that such action (that of squishing the goosh out of it) would impact in a negative manner.

Eventually it dawned on me that the annoying moth-like flying critter had not attracted my attention for a while. So I looked around...

In an obscure location where no one cleans (well ok, there are a lot of locations that fit that description close to my computingdevice but that's not germane to this discussion, only this one location out of the many), in the gap that exists between my Network Attached Storage device and the eight-port LAN switch adjacent to but not abutting it which has not been disturbed since the last time I had the need to plug another hunk of CAT5e into the back, an itsy bitsy spider had erected a devious near-invisible annoying moth-like flying critter snare. Or maybe it was merely a web. Whatever.

Irrespective of its nomenclature the snarething or webdevice had succeeded in entangling the annoying moth-like flying critter. In between the annoying moth-like flying critter's fluttering attempts to free itself, the itsy bitsy spider would run down its snarething-webdevice and proceed to wrap the legs of the annoying moth-like flying critter in ever increasing amounts of silkstuff. In between wrapping legs, the itsy bitsty spider would pause and sink its fangs into the trapped annoying moth-like flying critter until after about two and a half hours the repeated activity of silkwrapping and fangnipping resulted in the annoying moth-like flying critter finally taking a nap. From which it is doubtful it will ever awake.

Now that I have noted the itsy bitsy spider in residence, I see that it has had numerous successful 'hunts' of this type as evidenced by the crispy hulks of other assorted flying critters that have visited its webmaze, provided sport and nurishment for the itsy bitsy spider, then cut out of the web when their usefulness was depleted, or they were sucked dry much like a taxpayer in an obamarecovery, whichever came first.. ;-)

And since the itsy bitsy spider eats bugs, I feel no need to clean the gap that exists between my Network Attached Storage device and the eight-port LAN switch adjacent to but not abutting it.

Enjoy your tasty annoying moth-like flying critter lunch, itsy bitsy spider...

Spiders

I know you don’t like spiders. I think we all agree.
Nature’s wonders are all great, some things I need not see.
Like spiders in the bathroom! Some folks deny the fact,
But traces show they’ve been around, them and their trapeze act!

You may not see a spider, but proof remains behind.
Their spiderwebs displaying dust, in corners and aligned.
They are not there to prove to you your dusting could improve,
But only that some tiny bugs have been upon the move.

Spiders are exterminators, no need to give a call,
They show up anytime you’ve got those bugs there on your wall.
They’ll clean up all those crawly pests, but if they miss a guest,
They’ll lay some eggs down so their young will dine upon the rest.
