ha! I wish I could share the cookies with all of yinz, because I have a crapload left. xshub and I each brought huge containers to our offices today, and I sent all of our family off with 5 lb bags of them, each.

had nary a sweet, but I had the mozzarella on the caprese salad and the bleu cheese crust on the filet and a little bit of fruit for breakfast. I had the tiniest sip of the Proseco for the first toast, but it hit hard so I didn’t have any more, didn’t want to mess with it. I will email you some pix.
I had a check up on Friday, I managed to lose 6lbs. over the last three months with my surgery. My doc was amazed, saying that everyone gains weight. My A1C was way down and after the hospital was shoving insulin into me, I thought it would have been up. They had me paranoid about it. All in all, I am pretty healthy it seems. I need to seriously diet, though. Time to get into better shape for the next knee surgery.

Pay no attention to the fact that we're paying record taxes to support unconstitutional Executive activity, along with legislation that the vast majority of Americans reject; or that nearly every Federal agency rips the livelihood out from under the average citizen, where the tactic is to panic grey-haired voters into believing that it's actually their fault, or the dreaded TEA PARTY is to blame. Yep, "caring" for us is what this Administration is all about ... and don't worry – simply crying "Peace" to ISIS, Putin & the thugs of the world will solve all of our other insignificant problems.

I was just at noon mass, head down and praying beforehand, and the priest comes over to me in the pew and says How’s the Motherinlaw? he has always been somewhat standoffish, even with me doing the readings, but now that he’s had a container of cookies [given to him at the rehearsal, the church festival was on Sunday so, regrettably, he wasn’t able to come to either the rehearsal dinner or the wedding, but I made sure he had one of every cookie] I guess we are BFFS ; )
Those cookies just keep on giving! Guess he has a sweet tooth.
