ok Kart... I’ve read the posts and the blogs. I have some stuff but not alot. My wife thinks I’m crazy, kids think I’m crazy, fellow workers think I’m crazy. I do believe S will “HTF”. I love the perspective from the bosnian folks.I prolly cold make it 3 weeks but that would be it. I know you have posted a bunch about preparedness but please do so again. How do you feel about about the folks who sell the readiness bags? also am having a hard time finding water purification kits cheap.

A gravity bucket filter using Aquacera or Doulton ceramic filters will run about $50 depending on how many filters you use.

If you're worried about viruses treat water with iodine, bleach or calcium hypochlorite ( pool shock) before filtering or boil water and let cool before filtering.

A Sawyer mini, $20 on Ebay, should be good for rainwater or water from a known source that has only bacteriological contamination.

Use food grade buckets. You can buy them but I get them free from a bakery.
