Burger King's new all-black burger has black buns, cheese, and sauce

Kotaku's Brian Ashcraft reports on the new all black burger at Burger King Japan, a sandwich with black buns, black sauce, and black cheese darker than a black hole (seriously, the cheese is extremely black.) It looks kind of gross—but I really want to try it. How is this black cheese so dark, you ask?

It isn't plastic—although it looks like it.

Thanks. I had heard that also, and I usually try to keep eggs in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks before boiling them. I use grocery-store eggs, though, not home-raised, and I always wonder if the problem has to do with commercial egg production techniques (feed, etc.). It does seem that the shells of commercial eggs are thinner than they were some years ago.

I have noticed that commercial eggs have thinner shells, and it probably has to do with how they are raised. We let ours free range during the day and coop them up at night to keep away predators. We just feed them the layer pellets that you buy at Tractor Supply or Rural King. Nothing special. They do get goodies like tomato or apple cores or watermelon a few times a week. That makes them incredibly happy ;) We get about 8 eggs a day...that adds up fast!

I’d keep a few chickens except that our rental agreement forbids livestock. Maybe if I claimed they were pets?

It might work...all of ours have names and are as docile as can be ;) Ok, the rooster is a little standoffish, but he wants me to pet him. I can sense it.

I’d rather listen to this song / watch this video than the pornographic crap the rappers and hip hoppers put out in America . Nothing like THAT in Japan .

Maybe green ham and eggs

One of my neighbors raises chickens ... they produce white, brown, and green eggs. The eggs are all the same inside.

We have a neighbor who has hens that produce white, brown and pale blue eggs. Some of the yolks are more orange than yellow.

For anyone who's interested, this is what those burgers look like at midnight, when the lights are all off...

(That's also what an ISIS flag looks like at midnight, when the lights are all off.    They may start calling that burger the "ISIS burger".)
