A U.S. Border Patrol agent fired several rounds toward an armed militia member in Texas, reigniting concerns among law enforcement officials about conflicts with untrained and unregulated volunteers who have arrived at the Mexican border in the wake of the recent immigration crisis. I thought the Border Patrol guys were busy baking birthday cakes for the newly arriving illegal alien invaders. Read that here yesterday.
Border agents are not permitted to fire at illegal aliens coming across the border, so they have to have something to shoot at. A militia member is American, hence not an illegal alien. The world is upside down and gone crazy.
Remember the BP agents who went to prison for shooting a drug trafficker?
The rules of engagement are that if the Mexicans fire at U.S. officials, they have to run and hide and can’t fire back. It must be OK to fire at American citizens though.
My guess is that Eric Holder wants everyone except for the Border Patrol to leave so that the illegals can cross the border without hindrance. But I don’t know if he gave any specific orders to shoot at people they don’t want there.
Just glad nobody got hurt. These BP agents were actually chasing bad guys, some of whom may have been cartel related and therefore armed. Probably chasing bad guys against Obama’s orders to boot.
A good guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time. That’s a recipe for a friendly fire death.
I don’t envy our BP agents their jobs.
I also respect what our Texas militia is doing.
So again, just glad nobody got hurt. After all, friendly fire happens in the heat of battle, and this is a battle.
Shoot at the blankety-blank illegals, not the militia.
Put the US Army on the border.
