Spahn had over 200 wins...in the 50s.

Yes and he was at spring training in st Petersburg in 1969 as cardinal pitching coach when I worked the cardinal camp.

Nice guy.

Autographed ball.

Thanks for those book suggestions-—I will definitely check them out.

My mother was one of 7 sisters. One died of cancer in her 40s,the other six died in their 90s,one 2 months shy of her 100th birthday.

My mother happened to be the youngest and I used to kid her, saying,”What’s it like to be 88 and have 5 big sisters?”.

Wow I had both of those baseball cards. Too bad I was stupid and put many of them in the spokes of my tire.

Henry Aaron, Tommy Aaron, Joe Torre, Teo James, Joe Adcock, and Lew Burdette all played for the Eau Claire Braves in the sixties. Saw ‘em with my own eyes!

One of the funny things is that a guy who sits in front of my season ticket seats regularly wears a “H Aaron” jersey from the years when Hank Aaron and his brother Tommie both played for the Milwaukee Braves.

Adcock at first, Torre at third is the way I remember it.

"Is this the card you're talking about?"

Yes, it's the 1959 card, now that I recall.
