Cruelty is Simply a Part of Islam, Says Expert
Israel National News ^

Islamic State's head-chopping barbarity is not different from everyday Islamic cruelty, says Prof. Rafi Israeli.

Professor Rafi Israeli, an expert on Islam and the Arab world, told Arutz Sheva Sunday that while the world is appalled by Islamic State's decapitation murders of western journalists, we must not forget that Islam kills hundreds of people daily ...

Prof. Israeli said that the basis for these acts is the fact that Islam has a basic disregard for human life. “For them it is not sacred, like it is for us.”

The Koran, he noted, calls on Muslims to spread terror among their enemies without specifying who they are. "Every day in ... they kill hundreds,” explained Israeli. “Nowhere is there such disregard for human life, like in Islam. For the Sunnis, Shiites are worse than the Jews.”

Muslim law determines that a person who was a Muslim and left the faith should be killed. Theives' hands are cut off, and disrespect for the prophet Mohammed is a cause for mass murder.

At the core, he added, Islam is a religious faith that lacks self confidence. Because of this, any offense to it can rattle the faith of the Muslim and therefore requires a harsh, violent and cruel reaction.

This, too, he explained, is the core reason for the demand by 57 UN member countries to pass a universal alw forbidding any attack upon Islam. “This is a fanatic perception rooted in lack of confidence and a lack of conviction regarding faith.”

Prof. Israeli does not think that the problem lies only with extremist Muslims. While it is the extremists who carry out the murders, they enjoy the support of the general population. This, he added, is why the US is having such trouble cobbling together a coalition ...

WHY MUSLIMS ARE VIOLENT

This is pretty straight forward folks. Violence is not an aberration in Islam—it is DOCTRINE. Dozens of passages in the Quran exhort Muslims to hate or kill or terrorize infidels (non-Muslims) wherever they find them. For examples, see Suras 2:190-193, 2:216, 2:244, 3:56, 3:151, 4:56, 4:74, 4:76, 4:89, 4:91, 4:95, 4:104, 5:51, 5:32-38, 7:96-99, 8:12-14, 8:39, 8:60, 8:65, 9:5, 9:14, 9:23-30, 9:38-41, 9:111, 9:123, 22:18-22, 25:52, 47:4, 47:35, 48:16, 48:29, 61:4, and 66:8-10. These are the passages that jihadists quote in defense of their horrible atrocities.

While there are a couple of passages that Muslims point to that might suggest peaceful solutions (Suras 2:256, 29:46, 41:34), these are overwhelmed by the violent ones. Anyone who wants to commit acts of violence has perfect justification for doing so from the Quran. There is nothing in the Quran comparable to Jesus’ teachings to “turn the other cheek” and to “love your neighbor.”

You can look these passages up for yourself. Below is a site that has three translations of the Quran side-by-side. (Note: English translators of the Quran sometimes try to soften the true Arabic meaning of some of these passages. For example, to “fight” really means to kill in Arabic.)

In addition to the Quran are the hadiths. These are collections of sayings and actions of Muhammad. These, too, are very violent.

So she doesn’t even view her own son’s life as special? Wonder why he is even being treated in a hospital then. She’s essentially saying she would be “proud” for him to kill himself, would she even miss him? ....Culture of death, ugh.

At this point he probably wouldn’t, but eventually (when he comes to bat), you can look at yourself without a mirror, for a second or two.

ISLAM, RELIGION OF PEACE, TRUTH VS MYTH

Those who maintain that understanding jihad as a holy war constitutes a sort of deviation from the true Islamic tradition are therefore not telling the truth, and history sadly demonstrates that violence has characterized Islam since its origin, and that Mohammed himself systematically.

But the biggest difference between Christianity and Islam concerns the crucial issue of understanding the human person. This is shown by the fact that many Islamic countries have not accepted the declaration of human rights promulgated by the United Nations in 1948, or have done so with the reservation of excluding the norms that conflict with Qur’anic law which means practically all of them.

In Islamic tradition, in fact, the concept of the equality of all human beings does not exist, nor does, in consequence, the concept of the dignity of every human life. Sharia is founded upon a threefold inequality: between man and woman, between Muslim and non-Muslim, and between freeman and slave.

Islam is destined to remain unchanged in the future, as it has been until now, the only possible outcome is a difficult coexistence with those who do not belong to the Muslim community: in an Islamic country, in fact, the non-Muslim must submit to the Islamic system, if he does not wish to live in a situation of substantial intolerance.

Likewise, on account of this all-embracing conception of religion and political authority, the Muslim will have great difficulty in adapting to the civil laws in non-Islamic countries, seeing them as something foreign to his upbringing and to the dictates of his religion. Perhaps one should ask oneself if the well-attested difficulties persons coming from the Islamic world have with integrating into the social and cultural life of the West are not explained in part by this problematic situation.

We must also recognize the natural right of every society to defend its own cultural, religious, and political identity. It seems to me that this is precisely what Pius V did.
