There are at least two generations of young Americans who have absolutely no idea who this guy is. And those who do know him, like me, didn’t really give a crap about his music anyway. It basically sucked. And since he joined the head choppers union , f him. You know damn well he is still a worthless Saracen bastard because you can’t quit the head choppers union or you’ll lose your own head.

He was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (the irony) and the ceremony was on AXS recently, so that may have boosted his popularity. As part of his acceptance speech, he said he was surprised to receive the award because “he doesn’t drink, smoke and only sleeps with his wife.”
Good call. He is only Cat Stevens when he needs a cash infusion for one of his many Islamic causes.

I know some artists hate scalpers making a buck or more on their shows but not many cancel shows for this reason. The item says exorbitant prices so who knows maybe they figure they can reschedule with higher prices. The other “lucky” cities are Toronto, Upper Darby Pa, Boston, Chicago, San Fran and LA according to one ticket website.
