Colorado’s Second Amendment wildfire
The Washington Times ^ | September 29, 2014 | David Keene

Last year, in the wake of the Sandy Hook school shootings in Connecticut, the Obama administration and then-New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg worked to put together a “coalition of the willing” to join them in a war on the Second Amendment and hit upon Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper as a likely recruit.

Mr. Hickenlooper, a low-key liberal who went from successful saloon developer to the Denver mayor’s office, was elected governor as part of a concerted effort by liberal billionaires to take over a Western state. In 2010, they not only made Mr. Hickenlooper governor, but they elected “progressive” majorities to both houses of the state legislature. Democrats around the country celebrated the victories and vowed to use the same strategy to change the politics of neighboring states.

So when President Obama and his trusty sidekick, Joe Biden, began looking for allies in the mountains, it didn’t take long for them to target Colorado. Mr. Hickenlooper is known neither for his political perspicacity nor courage, so Mr. Biden got on the phone, twisted his arm, cajoled him and perhaps suggested that a grand future awaited if he would join the coalition. No one knows whether it was the cajoling or the arm-twisting, but the Colorado governor signed on and began taking calls from New York’s mayor and working with progressives in the legislature to craft legislation incorporating just the sort of “common-sense” firearms restrictions the president and mayor wanted.

Chickenpooper got three of his liberal legislatures removed. Two were recalled and replaced by republicans and one resigned to prevent the loss of majority in the recall against her. The sheriffs of Colorado sued the state over the unenforceable laws the idiots put into effect and are still going though the process.

Hickenlooper was an oil man before getting into bar-restaurants. Funny how that fact never gets mentioned when his history is talked about.

Democrats in Colorado are not running on their record, not on Obama care or gun grabbing or tax increases or but they are running on how great it is to be able to kill children in the womb. They think this is what matters to women, and will get them back in office. Genocide is their platform.
Vote Mark Udall and keep killing the children of promiscuous women. Because dead babies are easier to deal with on ladies night.

Beauprez is almost 10 points ahead of chickenpooper, and Gardner is ahead of Udall. We successfully recalled 2 anti-American legislators over their anti-gun extremism, forced a 3rd to resign, and now we're gunning for chickenpooper. Colorado will return to the red state it was not so long ago.

As far as the anti-gun laws the extremists passed, well, no one cares or follows them at this point. Oft times you can purchase 30 round mags at the local patriot's events here in Western Colorado. In fact, that law went into effect July 1st, 2013. On July 4th, there were quite a few for sale at the local freedom rally.

In related news, the British Queen was required by PM Cameron to give Bloomberg a “knighthood for foreigners”, a KBE, “Order of the British Empire”, for his “prodigious entrepreneurial and philanthropic endeavours”, which means his advocacy of gun control, and generally acting like an American version of an upper class twit.

Thanks, Cameron.

In return, the gun manufacturer Taurus, which presents its “Taurus Defender of Freedom Award”, usually to executives of the National Rifle Association and other American pro-gun politicians, should this year give the award to Britain’s UKIP leader Nigel Farage, an opponent of Cameron, who advocates gun liberty in Britain.

He’s a nice guy but he’s politically tone deaf and out of touch with the way things work here in Colorado.

Gun control doesn’t fly here and the Democrats found out how expensive it was to cross their constituents on the issue. This state ain’t California.

And it didn’t help matters when Bloomberg called us hicks living in the boondocks. Colorado Springs is very much a conservative city, the GOP stronghold in the state but Pueblo is Democratic - Obama carried it twice.

Hickenlooper is down because he and his ruling Democrats have displayed the arrogance and contempt of the national party for Colorado values. So its not a surprise they are faring poorly and this is a swing state. Obama is just loathed here.

Just because the GOP is in the lead, don’t take it for granted. Never underestimate the stupidity of the sheeple, so make sure every conservative you know gets out and votes.
