All over the internet recently, sciFy vs. reality and a Mars satellite for petty cash:
That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.
A few items...

Actually a lot has to do with the carrier.
The worst in my experience has been DHL... You get a tracking number but when you try to track it there is no information. Until after the item is delivered. Which is of course extremely useful, on the order of teats on a boarhog...
UPS has been fairly consistent. USPS occasionally loses stuff and leaves a three or four day gap in reporting. FedEx, if it is real FedEx is ok. FedEx home or whatever they are calling themselves now is sporadic, but that's their delivery not the tracking info. The tracking info is interesting to watch sometimes - makes you wonder if their routing department are all recent graduwits from modern American edumacational systems that no longer teach Geography. Or CNN news talking heads. But then, what can you expect from a renamed RPS...
Isn’t that one adorable? There’s an interesting batch of genetics in that litter!
How are you today?
All is well. Prayers all is well with you and yours.
The cats and I are okay. Nobody else has been heard from yet.
My mother has a meeting with the Hospice staff today. She hopes this will give her a better idea of what to expect regarding my Dad’s condition.
Am sorry to hear Hospice is involved, T-c. Prayers for you, your Family, your Dad and Mom.
Thanks. I think Hospice was the best choice to get him into a safe facility with closer-to-sufficient staff. Mom is still hiring private aides full-time.
Is terrible having to deal with some of the problems of life, especially when loved ones are a life one loves and does not want to release to our Heavenly Father. Went there with my Dad but Dad’s release was quick. Dad was ready so for that am Thankful. Only had four days to say ‘goodbye’ to Dad and it hurt terribly. Dad went quickly. In some ways, am Thankful because that is what Dad wanted but it still hurts to this day. Loving someone has fun, memories and hurt. Thank God for the fun and memories. All in all the past fun and memories outweigh the hurt. Hardly a day goes by I do not remember something about Dad. Must be God’s way of saying everything is ‘okay’.
Excellent reflections!
Thank You for the compliment ... Kind of felt like Dad gave me a pat on the back just then and am positive Dad gave me those words; for the words could have come from nowhere else but Dad. Dad was my best teacher. Right about now can hear Dad telling me to stop ‘smuuzzin’ him ... LOL
LOL!
Thank you. Kitty was a rescue, they told me she was four, but it turned out she was a year older. Totally un-adoptable. I would love to get my hands on her previous owners. She was rescued from a kill shelter to a no kill shelter but no one would take her because she had such social problems with people.
I took her, loved her, she came around but it took a lot of time. She turned out to be a great cat. She got kitty cancer and they go quick from that. I had her for just shy of 11 years.
I thought by now I’d have another one, but with my collapsed lungs and being on an oxygenator, I’m not allowed to leave my apartment, and I can’t have a cat right now. I hope next year will be a better year for me and I cn finally have another kitty in my life,,
You can’t have the one with spots. I want him/her!
I wonder if the daddy cat had spots, or what color he was.
I hope all is well with your father, regarding the Hospice.
Thinking of your family, TC.
11 years is a good run with a cat, especially a rescue, since it’s hard to know their real age or state of health before you adopt them.
I’m pretending not to notice Shannon is batting a pipe-cleaner around the floor. We have a polite fiction that she’s too dignified for that sort of thing.
Thanks, Gefn. You’re very generous, what with all your own issues.
I could, briefly, scroll with my mouse wheel, but now I can’t again.
I’m here. I’m not excited about today, though. The MRI is making me freak out...it’s all I can do to calm myself from the panic I feel welling up in my throat. Not a good feeling for one who was raised with no fear.
Kitty loved q-tips. :)
I wish she was here, I could use some cat diversion instead of watching all the riot news, which is making me very sad.
