All over the internet recently, sciFy vs. reality and a Mars satellite for petty cash:
That breaks the monopoly. Faced with the spectre of other nations publishing uncensored Mars images, NASA and JPL have started publishing some much more obvious images than they have in the past including a totally uncensored video (JPL) showing large-scale structure.

We’re still having email problems with Windstream, so I went to the bank. They’re very nice at the bank.

On my way home, I stopped and got $10 in gas, then got home to find I had been the recipient of a Surprise Inspection. There is supposed to be a 3-10 day notice on those things, and of course, I left here in such a hurry that I left dishes in the sink, not knowing of the inspection.
It scared Sparkle, as I’m sure it would. So now, I’m faced with a dilemma. Do I go over her (manager) head and make a complaint, or do I try to discuss it normally with her? Either way, I need some Pink Drink.
Oooohhh that irritated me. I’m not feeling all that well, anyway, and this was totally uncalled for.
Making decisions when you’re upset is a bad idea. Maybe if you rest and watch some cat videos, you’ll feel better.
I want some Pink Drink, too, but I didn’t buy any, because I want to lose 2 lbs. this week.
I think I’ll go brush my teeth. Pat is nagging me to get off the computer so he can program!
I wouldn’t confront her today, under any circumstances. I’m thinking it was bad timing, but I think I can see her Monday or Wednesday next week, and not make a fool of myself while still maintaining mutual respect.
She isn’t well liked around here, but I’ve never had any trouble with her and I don’t want to start now. There are enough people making formal complaints about her, so if she stays, it’s because they think this is a good place for her. I just don’t want to cause a ripple in the Force when it comes to me.
I bought a bottle of Wally’s finest $2.97 Pink Drink, but no Sierra Mist. I’ll use ginger ale or water.
I went to Walmart for diapers, but didn’t get any Pink Drink.

After that deal with the inspection today, I need to go find some lead-weighted food and water dishes for the perfect pet. (!) I think I will go to PetSmart tomorrow, since the Walmart here isn’t well stocked for cats. It caters to dogs, gerbils and hamsters and exotic fish. There is one aisle for kittehs and five for the rest.
I don’t like paying PetSmart prices, but I feel I have to get something she can’t upset in times of stress.

I looked at all of them, (8 pages) and found some I think will work. Sparkle is a little subdued, right now, but I think she will be better in the morning. She has begun talking to me when I go into the bedroom, and that’s a good sign. Last night, she actually got on the bed for a second (the lights were off) and then got scared and jumped off.
Still, I consider it progress! I need to go buy her some more food tomorrow. Hopefully, I can get out earlier than I did today. The Blue and Pink Hairs were out in force by the time I got to Wally’s today. *shudder*
I got an absolutely gorgeous card today with a splendiferous peacock, and with your permission, I would like to forward it to a sister whose last name translates to “peacock.”
Of course you can pass the card along, and I’m glad you found some dishes that might work.
Jake was in the room with us last night. He’s annoying.
LOL! I had to order the dishes because the store doesn’t have that particular kind in the colors I wanted, but it’s all good. Sparkle will just have to wait for her Christmas!
She is very good at night, and will play quietly with her “bed-toy” batting the pom-pom around and scratching the sisal, but she settles down after about 10 minutes.
She really IS a good kitteh, and I’m so happy to have her accept me as her slave! LOL!
What I knew for sure was that I would have a black cat. What I didn’t count on was the orange sparkles in her fur, or the docile nature she shows when she is relaxed. I am so glad she knew who she needed!
Before you know it, she’ll be sitting on your keyboard!
I will be happy when she comes out of the closet! LOL!
